RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael
got mine for christmas :D!

watched disk1 today, brilliant!

They do the Lewis-Aus incident really well!!

On extra features Webber's Bahrain start and first lap or so is a must-see! A really well calculated drive.

Highlights so far are Lewis's radio transmissions during Turkey GP and Vettel's crazy frog :p!

edit - a late edit but nevermind.. on Hamitlons radio for turkey, its the one time ive heard him get angry/sound so desperate. When the cars bad for some drivers they just sound so bored and unispired. but you could hear the frustration in his voice of wanting a good car.

I also got the 2009 DVD for Christmas and I have to say I'm immensely impressed. This is not merely a fly-by round-up of the season, this is a detailed analysis of everything that went on, on and off the track. It's the kind of season review that in years to come will be so, so much more meaningful than previous superficial products.

IMHO this is the best season review they've ever done, an absolute must-have!

Def agree, got a voucher for a DVD store for Xmas, so bought the DVD, a great watch - really is one of, if not the best review!

2013 - Nando must come through..
Yes, it is a very good product.

Still a few shortcomings in my opinion though, a few things overlooked, and a few times where it would have been nice to have another onboard replay or two. Also a bit frustrating was when they didn't show an onboard replay (e.g. Kovalainen at the second corner in Brazil) in the race review, but then did show it briefly in a highlights montage between races.

The onboard features were very good - not just the qualifying laps (which we can now get on F1.com anyway), but other interesting events and processes.

The extra content on this one is far better than anything that has gone before. I particually liked Nico's start procedure one.

The main feature though, meh. Cant say im awe-struck. I dunno, its just too, too, long! The vids of the late 90's and early 00's had a nice pace about them which left you going 'Crikey! Is that the time?? I've watched the whole thing!!' whereas the recent ones have me going 'Crikey! Is it only round 4 now???? Sod this, im off!'.

On a plus side, i didnt noticed so much of the post/current-tense confusion in the commentary. ('On lap ?? Rober Kubica tried a move on Jarno Trulli. Oh and that a huge crash! i hope he's ok!??) Even better is that you can switch the comms off now!! Lurvely!

I preferred the length of this one I had to say. I can see why it'd annoy some, but for me it was the shorter ones that bugged me. I loved that this one was far more detailed.

For the first time since the 90s, I'm very impressed with the season review.

i still haven't opened mine, although it sounds promising from you guys who have watched it. i think the season is still a bit fresh in my memory for me to want to sit through 4 hours of it right now. maybe in the next few weeks when the withdrawal symptoms have kicked in, i'll watch it.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael
You mean your still sane? wow, your a stronger man than I ;)! Or maybe just have more of a life :p

this DVD must be the sport equivalent of the most pornographic DVD you could ever dream of, for a Button fan as yourself. did you watch it in the privacy of your own bedroom with a fresh box 'o Kleenex? ;)

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael
LOL! Ill let you wonder that one :p!

my dvd package just arrived today - I've watched a bit into both dvds and the things, which I saw was good. I think, I will watch the 3 1/2 hours review in the next days.

Tomorrow, the 2007 and 2008 dvd packages should arrive here also. hot

finally started watching it, seen all of disc 1. nicely presented and entertaining, but missed out qualifying for most of the races.

i did laugh out loud when Ben Edwards commented on Sutil's camp running after he crashed in China.

i did think the text in the lists was a bit too small though, the list of events and extra features.

and the option to turn the commentary off is pointless IMO. unless you have a fantastic memory, watching it without commentary will mean nothing to you.

and they covered the Hamilton-Australia incident nicely, with all the team radio.

Has anyone managed to get the NTSC R1 version of this DVD? It was supposed to be released around January but the places that were listing it for pre-order arent even showing it on their sites anymore. As if its been completely cancelled :(

Anyway got tired of waiting and finally just ordered the R2 PAL version from Ebay for about 10 quid shipped.

fµck you seem to be right :( I hope you're wrong tho, I liked the 2008 review, so I guess the 2009 one should be similar in terms of quality
