Can you just accept Hamilton has won it?! Even I have a very slim thought on Glock's 'inventions', but what would he gain even if he did such a thing?!

People like you do not contribute to any debate.. you just throw some emotional/pathetic bull@@@@ onto the internet and earning a diploma of fail. Please, calm down and go away, until you will give sensible and 'un-pathetic' messages.

If you're in the UK at any point you're more than welcome to join us at one of our meets.

Because it's fun to meet up and get together and see what people are like when they're not just behind some old copper/new fibre optic.

There's usually a big group which go to Le Mans too (unfortunately I'm unable to do Le Mans), so if that's better I'm sure they wouldn't mind an extra member.

Oh, ok, didn't wanna jump to any conclusions, but given his sentence you quoted I thought for a moment there that you guys had a private fight club.
I'm glad it wasn't meant like that.

What I'd be interested in is Kubica's final lap times - wasn't he on drys as well ?

Oh and BTW as Martin and JA were talking about Glock's ok sector times surely those would have tumbled on the last lap and they would have said something about it...just seems strange, maybe they were caught in the moment.

Well, I saw both BMWs pitting for intermediates, so no, Kubica wasnt on drys.

There's usually lots of big groups lol.
Shame you can't make one, have you ever thought of asking for special holiday from work, just to see what it's about? :)
I read the first page but I'm too lazy to read the others...
Glock didn't slow down on purpose. On slick tyres in wet track you can't be fast as in inters tyres. Ask Raikkonen in Spa, he tried too hard (I think)with slicks and crash. Ask Bourdais when he has been overtaken by Heidfeld and Alonso on inters ( I've seen the full onboard camera of Bourdais' last lap ). Bourdais can't do anything! Ask Villeneuve and Frentzen in Monaco 1997.Ask Raikkonen in Europe 2007.He has been overtaken by Winckelhock's Spyker! Look at Senna in Spa 92! The rainmaster at that time!
Glock, who was behind Lewis, didn't pit so after Lewis pits stop he was in front of him but in a wet track you can't do anything!
It's so cruel for Massa and Ferrari but Formula 1 is like that...

maybe kubica was on wets? As he overtook Vettel and Hamilton quite easily.

LOL, yes, I meant there's usually at least 1 group consisting of members from GPG/tRL/etc.

I have, and indeed I was granted it at one point a couple of year back, but things have been so busy for so long now that I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it. Keeping in mind I'd probably have to leave on the Thursday (or day before we leave the UK) and come back on the Tuesday at the absolute best.

There was a point I was desperate to go, around 2004 or 2005, but while it would be nice to get together with absolutely everyone possible it's not something I'd really go out of my way to do any more. I'll make do meeting you guys in closer meets, though other than the VaderTrophy lot, I've not met any of you lot for a couple of years now. Probably because I'm not on MSN any more I miss out on a lot of the planning. Bit of a shame, but I'm exactly pumped up for the events I do go and see, and most of you lot are so far out of my way. Of the old regulars who used to get together all the time in the AlphaF1 days, I think you are perhaps the only one I never met, Jim.

Perhaps my memory is wrong, but I'm sure my impression and my own motivation wasn't helped by the Andy Scott episode at Donny in 2005 (or whichever year it was when it was -7).

There were plenty of suggestions on Saturday that Kubica had gone for a wet (or 'wetter';) setup. Perhaps he'd just taken better care of his, not being in that pressure cooker of desperation.

As a Glock fan, i have to say it's a huge shame that he's getting the blame for Lewis stealing Massa's championship... I'm sure he drove that Toyota as fast as he was able like he normally does.

Why hasn't this thread been locked? It is such utter nonsense. It is entirely possible that Glock had no clue of the situation. Vettel claims he didn't know that his overtake would cost Hamilton the title and there is no reason to assume that Glock could fight on dry tyres on a damp track and have the presence of mind to concoct a method to guarantee the championship went to Hamilton. Jeez, think about it for 5 minutes and you'll see how absurd you're sounding.

I think they were more interested in watching the track to see if Hamilton could get past Vettel rather then timing screens. Listening to the commentary from that last lap again it does seem like they were totally engrossed in the on track action.

on the last lap brundle says that glocks first sector is good enough so they then turn everything to the lewis vettel battle

Yeah, that's right. I think the first sector was almost the same, but as someone mentioned in another thread, the first sector is like a couple of turns and straights so it isn't hard to assume that the times would be similar. There might not have been as much moisture on the track in the first sector too, whilst the final couple of turns did look pretty greasy.
