Whelp, I tell you...you guys are lucky. BBC commentators are way, way better than the dudes here in Brazil...at least they seem to know what they are talking about. And Davidson is a lot better than Luciano Burti commenting.

Hope I can find a way to watch through bbc.co.uk at some point...watching another stream but the quality is really bad.

Also, Kovalainen seems a lot more in touch with the car than Hamilton.

Wahey, Williams 1-2. Been a long while since we've seen that, and it's a good sight.

Williams, Ferrari, Brawn and Toyota the pace setters, and it's close in the midfield. This could be a cracker!

GPGSL S5 Race driver for IED.

Yeah, very nice job. Have to wonder how light they were though. But still, looks good. I am more interested in the relatives between teammates. Kimi seems better than Massa for now, and Heikki was also a lot better than Hamilton. The brawn dudes are very well matched, and Renault seems a handful to drive.

Red Bull pretty much the losers of the first session. Buemi is the fastest of the 4 of them!

I know its only first practice but the BMWs were pretty disappointing. Also Lewis was really struggling with his McLaren.

Good to see Williams at the top of the timesheets, can't wait for the next session, so glad F1 is back.

Am sat writing an essay, then practice session two.

Good too see Williams there going well, and Brawn GP as well of course. Will be interesting to see whos fast in #2 as teams should be able to run with improved setups and with more rubber on the track

just over 10mins till fp2, iv had no sleep whatso ever, been awake since 9am yesterday now, and i wont get no sleep until tonight!

a shipment of boxes full of new parts arrived at the McLaren garage for fp2
