Formula One Indoor Trophy?

Whilst on Wiki I found this non-championship race.

But Wiki wasnt too great at explaining it, so if anyone could explain I would love to know what this was all about

well i went to wikipedia and typed in "formula one indoor trophy" and got a wikipedia page detailing info on "formula one indoor trophy" [en.wikipedia.org]

seems to be like a "Goodwood type" event, where they time cars 'display' laps round the track. except at Bologna they kept going in a knockout format until they got a winner.

I say Bring this back! the bottom 3 finishers in the championship and the top 3 and they all get the same car and then do the time thingy and then the knockout how cool!
