Just reading Wiki, and it's got this (how true, I don't know):

"Also, after severely damaging his car in practice at the 1998 Monaco Grand Prix and receiving a warning from the stewards, his furious mechanics switched the first and last letters of his surname on his paddock scooter to form the word "tosser"."

LMAO :D

IIRC Rosset was the guy who went full speed into teh Spa 98 starting crash, about 10s after it had calmed down?

Who turned the "W" upside down from his rear wing? ;)

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

Massa almost did the same thing in Singapore Friday practice

Haha, Salva - ironically that isn't even the incident they were talking about! :) That's a couple of years later, when he was STILL in F1 despite all clear indications of his lack of ability.

Gav, ROFL at that sound clip, I remember it well. 1996, in the Arrows. Casino Square. :D

No, the film clip and the sound clip do match up - 1998 Monaco GP. Rosset had spun and was trying to spin turn back onto the track. Epic fail ensued.

Martin Brundle was still driving in 1996.

Dammit, you're right. :) Somebody spun an Arrows there in 1996 and prompted a similar verbal dismissal from Murray Walker. But yeah, Martin must have been in a car in '96. Oops.

Mario Andretti

Christijan Albers (ij = y for britons here)

No it doesn't. ij is pronounced in a way that only the Dutch language has. The ij in Christijan is being devided in a I and a J, getting Christi-jan, because that's the way you pronounce it.

So you may have a bit of Dutch blood, but you know jack about our language :P

Mazzacane was one of my least favorite drivers. Terribly slow, and extremely ugly too (ofcourse, he couldn't do anything about that, but the whole person was just not a nice person to look at, either driving, speaking or walking through the paddock).

Trulli - How the hell does he maintain employment each year based on the "results" he churns out!
Fisichella - As Trulli
Hamilton - Respect his ability. Shame hes such a wanker with it!
Heidfield - As Trulli
Piquet Jr - Just pointless in the extreme!
Nakajima - Wonder if a Spainard with that ability would of been employed?

Bubbling under

Massa - Too much ego for my liking. Little like LuLu in that respect.
Coulthard - Gone a season or 2 too long!

Previous

Sato, Yamamoto, Yoong - Any number of pay drivers! Only ever got their jobs because of Nationality or wallet!

@Nickv Joshua:

I meant the y as in written form as it's not that uncommon to be found in English :P. I'd never talk about pronunciation because I wondered about it myself! Though I have a cousin called Jan (Yan).

@Bruno:

I mentioned Gené on my list ;).
