I'm just talking about the stuff lately, like with Georgia.

So what about Georgia? Alright, politics may have played a part in when F1 did and didn't race in South Africa, and there was some political interference involved in the UK concerning tobacco laws but I don't see the idea that the foreign-policy of the Russian government looking a bit "dodgy" would stop Formula One going there. I mean, I might understand your argument more readily...if we weren't off to race in "Tibet-oppressing, Sudan-supporting, Communist China" later this month...

It will definately be Kimis favourite grand prix, because of all that Vodka there.

ROFLMAO

You're blind my friend. Georgia attacked first, in the middle of the night. If USA would be in Russia's place the war would still be going on because of their inefficiency and everybody would be cheering for them because they would be protecting innocent civilians. But because it's Russia it has to be it's fault for the war regardless who attacked first, right?

What Georgia did is attack a rebel province, which was theirs already. Georgia did not attack Russia. Georgia attacked a province which was supported by Russia. Russia felt the need to defend those people, as most of them are Russians.

So it really depends on how you look at it. Land wise, Russia attacked Georgia first. People wise, Georgia attacked Russian people, in Georgia, so Georgia attacked first. So they basically attacked themselves land wise, but Russia was the first of the two attacking another country.

A better image. It seems more boring now, because it's very flat. I do like that long corner up that hill, if it's a 4th or 5th gear corner, it's gonna be awesome :D

Oh come on one corner doesnt make a track great. Sure Spa has Eau Rouge but there are other corners of notice (Pouhon for example). Turkey has the Turn 8 and that's it. Yet turkey isnt all that good.

It looks boring yes, maybe it can be fun for moto gp boys but not for f1.

I meant that if that corner is a 4th or 5th gear one, than that corner is going to be awesome.

I wonder how long that second straight is, it looks huge!

It's gonna be built some 80km north (?) from Moscow.

Looks like a moderatly decent track, as Nick said, the hill corner does look good, and could be excitin. But I think the mid section looks as if Tilke has just scribbled some stuff and thought it would be a good to put it onto the track.

I'm not going to say if I like it or not until its been made and a f1 car has been round it.

It might make much more sence to build the track somewhere in Finland with Russian money and simply calling it Gp of Russia. It would be atleast more secure for teams, drivers and tourists. For people from area of EU travelling would be cheaper and easier.

Dunno why but this track reminds me bit of A1-ring.. :P

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

The first turn and the last tow turns look indeed quite similar to A1-Ring

Expect him to shut the fukc up. I told him ONE more offensive remark and it's GAME OVER for him.

If Tilke would just give it a rest on perfectly straight straights and these silly short corners...

Well he's trying to create the conditions which(on paper) create great racing, but he seems not to realise that it's not that simple. He also seems not to realise that said combo of straights/corners alone doesn't create a great racetrack.
Don't get me wrong, the layout looks not bad to me. It just doesn't look special or spectacular in any way. Think it's time they got a team of people to design the new F1 tracks, instead of just one guy. Then there'd be much more variety in the new ones.
The start/end of the lap is very similar to the A1-Ring, yes. The first sector looks pretty similar to the last corner - first sector section of Sepang. And the rest of the lap looks similar to Bahrain(I see the opening complex of the Sakhir lap replicated exactly about 1/3 of the way round!) So none of it strikes me as original.
It would be good for F1 to go to Russia purely from a marketing point of view - it's the only major country in the world apart from India that F1 hasn't been to yet. If they do build this layout they should hold the race at a time of year when the weather's not likely to be good - that would guarantee a great race ;)
