Yeah because getting smashed 15-2 in quali shows what a fast driver Coulthard is. Maybe Yamamoto would have done better?
Webber would have got many more points than DC were it not for unreliability/bad luck.
Even Doornbos beat Coulthard in his races with Red Bull. :)

Probably for the redlight thing. I very much doubt he had anything to do with that though.

Or probably because of that photo of him with what we call 'honda pijamas' ;)

Brawn said he wasn't taking control of anything this race apparently, just watching how Honda works.

Alonso was behind Couthard until the first pit stop, so he gave back the position to DC.

I've seen Hamilton really well this race. He's from my point of view the best driver out there. Yes, I start to believe that he is better than both Raikkonen and Alonso. And I am an Alonso fan, but this guy seems a kind of Schumi or even better, specially watching his first year in F1 against a 2 times world champion.

Hit by someone? Have you watched the start? He thought "meh, first race, this is my chance to impress!" and jammed it up the inside in a move that has only ever resulted in a crash at that corner. Yes, Glock was the one who tipped Fisi over in the end, but only because Piquet had bombed down the inside and left his entire entry to the corner blocked. It was idiotic.

I'm not Piquet's biggest fan or critic, but you have to be truly blind to suggest he did anything other than cause that crash in turn 1 by himself.

You're a fanboy to lead all fanboys, but surely even you are not suggesting Piquet wasn't 90%+ at fault for that? (the other 10% being the rest added together for not realising there was a prick on the track who was about to ram them off the road, rendering race 1, a 10,000 mile trip and all your pre-race efforts and functions completely pointless.

I'm can't actually think of a worse debut, and Lavaggi and Deletraz are included in that.

At least he only made one mistake in the race, and not, like Kovalainen, several. ;) Just because he didn't got the chance that is ;)

But worst debut, that was still Lewis' debut. He didn't even won the race.

Yeah because getting smashed 15-2 in quali shows what a fast driver Coulthard is.

So, remind me of the qualifying points system then. How many world champions, or even championship positions have been decided on qualifying points system? Oh? None? Really? Well, isn't that a turn up for the books!

Even in mid air, Fisichella looks to have more of a chance of getting round the corner than Piquet.

Qually say something about the raw speed of a driver I think, but in a race, it also comes from a little driving "intelligence". Like Webber, Trulli for example also has been faster than his teammates on most occasions in qualifying, but in races he hasn't done sh*t, like Webber. So Webber may be the faster driver, Coulthard is the better one for now, and will again "drive the @#$%& out of that Australian b*stard".

And as Coulthard always admitted, he just can't handle these qually formats.

Gav, thanks for he vid! James Allens little chuckle was quite amusing in the background! DC was obviously pissed.

As for DC vs Webber - apples and oranges. Webber is a better qualifier, but his race-craft is pathetic. You can depend on him to always go backwards in a race from his quali position. DC on the other hand can usually make up several spots in a race, and if his car holds together can usually get to the top six. Webber has yet to prove to me that he can...

Speaking of Rubens problem with the red light, can't they have some sort of red beam at the end of pit road that projects across the exit? Seems like it would be much easier to see say a red laser stretching across the exit than the lights over at the side. Rubens probably knew there were big problems and was checking his mirrors for sumersaulting crewmen right about then...;)

Gav, once this twit has made his mind up nothing is going to change it. Look at all the arguments everyone has had with his complete fanboyisnm over the time he has been here. It was good when he got banned.

You're kidding right? That stuff is only done in movies mate, since it is 100% Computer Generated. Real lasers are light and light is photons, and you can't see a photon unless it hits something solid. For the beam to be visible you'd have to have constant smoke at the exit of the pitlane and I can't see them doing that.

Not that it matters. The excuse of "I didn't see the massive big red light just to the left of the exit" doesn't wash with me.

Exactly. It should be second nature for a driver to just glance over at it before flooring it. They should anyway if only to watch and see if the blue lights are flashing, indicating "cars on the pit straight, be careful".
