So actually, you'd like Williams to win. Can I quote you in one of my Literacy lessons please? I think that's a perfect example of contradiction. :)

he could have meant he doesn't care which driver wins as long as Williams is back on top :p

I think my above post comes across as more harsh than I intended it! No offence meant, by the way. I'd like to see Williams back up there too.

Same for me, the main thing that I'm looking forward to this year is to see how Williams and Red Bull do, mainly Williams.

For me, the two things I want to see in 2008 are a vast improvment by Honda and maybe more so than that a Rosberg win, or at least a few hard fought podiums that were won on pure pace rather than Maccas,Ferraris/Renaults dropping out.

Really dunno whats gonna happen this year, I mean I predicted Ferrari Domination last year and even though they won, they didn't exacly dominate ;) What I'd like to see is Ferrari and McLaren consentrating on each other too much to not notice another team (BMW, Red Bull, Renault) to get past them on speed, also I would love to see Williams get a few more podiums and maybe even some wins in the bag! But if it does end up a Ferrari McLaren battle, Hamilton and Kovalianen are very similarly paced, problem is I don't think either of them have the experience to win a Championship yet but should have some interesting battles between them and Ferrari will have to do alot better than they did last year, they can't rely on court cases to win the Championship this year ;)

I think Williams are winning the popular vote because their reputation seems to have remained intact through all the spying scandals.

I would really like to see them do well, and also would really like Heidfeld to enjoy some podiums with the B.M.W.

Ultimately though, I am hoping for a 2nd title for Kimi.

i think kimi will win, however it will be very close; kovalainen will very possibly beat hamilton, although mclaren may not like this

what i would like to see this year is a BMW win and podiums for Webber

Let's not forget that Kimi only won because McLaren didn't pick a driver, the same way that happened in 86 I think

Let's be very clear - Massa only pulled over the once. Raikkonen fully deserved the title. He was awesome in the second half of the season and came from a long way back. Kimi still had to finish in front of the McLarens whether Massa pulled over or not, and it's not like everything went his way during the season, and he made a few mistakes too, but he kept his head down and just got on with the job. Much though I think Hamilton's great and it would have been great to see him win the title, Raikkonen showed he could just get on with the job when he needed to. I know he had less pressure because of how far behind he was - and so there was less expectation on him to win in some quarters - but he just got on with it and muscled his car around the track faster than everyone else when he needed to. Schumacher didn't win his 7 titles by trying to woo the media, and I think that's one area where he has an advantage over Alonso and Hamilton at the moment. He just blocks them out.

That has very little to do with what you wrote!

well then you could also say that Ferrari didn't pick a driver either :)

Ferrari didn't pick a driver. Kimi just beat Massa until the point where the choice didn't have to be made.

Kimi won the title because he was the best man out there when it came down to the crunch. Did McLaren not choosing a driver cause Lewis to throw it in the gravel?

Kimi won because

1) He's one of the best drivers, no doubt
2) McLaren had alot of troubles the last races (not the spying thing, just ontrack)
3) Ferrari was the better car the first couple of races, and since Magny-Cours they were the car to beat

I hope to see a simular season this year, but than the reversed case... McLaren (Lewis or Heiki) winning the champ only in the last race :-)
