Who will be Champion at 2008?

Who will be Formula 1 World Champion at 2008?

I sayd it's Kimi Räikkönen!! Best F1 Driver at this time. Constructor's Champion is Ferrari..:P

I think the biggest shock will be if anyone thinks anything else to be honest.

Kimi and Ferrari.

I'm starting to wonder if they could possibly manage what McLaren just failed to do in '88. Still, that's a hell of an ask, and they could have pulled it off in 2002 or 2004 too and didn't. Don't think we'll quite have 2002 style domination though.

Well, many of you probably know my preference as a driver for Alonso, who is the best of the grid right now, but Ferrari has a great car, quick in any condition (their long stint pace is really good) and I think McLaren has lost a big element with Alonso's departure to a direct rival team...Kimi will probably win.

Again, my bet is:

1. Kimi
2. Massa/Hamilton/Alonso
5. Kovalainen
6. Heidfeld/Rosberg/Kubica/Piquet

But i don't think this championship will be 1 team champ. Ferrari will dominate, but not with 13-14 wins I think.

It will be a good car just with a lot harder competition than in previous years.

There seems to be alot more good drivers in good cars who could possibly win.

Kimi, Massa, Lewis, Hiekki, Alonso, I would also like to add the BMW's and Rosberg.

Going to be Kimi, but it's going to be a lot tighter than anyone expects.

my guess is that it'll be the driver with the most points after the final race...

Muks really has a point there... Infact i did some research and i noticed that every season in f1 the one with most points after the final race of the season has won the title. Same goes for constructors...



Kimi will win.

Prost and Senna in `88. Prost scored more points than Senna but didn`t take it because of that ridiculous rule of 11 races out of 16.

Nowadays as we have the 10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1 system, the driver with more points will probably be the champion, as Muks said, like scoring 8 most of the time, winning some races that would be enough to win the title.

Anyway I hope Massa wins this year

I hope that Massa wins too, I like him more than most people on here seem to. He can be good enough, but he will need to be lucky!

I reckon that Raikkonen will win it again, though. Kovalainen will be a surprise .

I'm against sigpics

It'll be Raikkonen, followed by Hamilton. Then Massa, Alonso, and Kovalainen, methinks. Constructors will be Ferrari, McLaren, Renault, BMW, Williams.

if Massa can do in one race for eight/nine races during the season rather than just 2/3, he's got it over kimi imho.

unfortunately for us Brazilian fans, clouds exist and they may carry water which may cause wet races to occur and it just sucks to be a Massa fan when those come about (though I was surprised he beat Kimi at Monaco, a super technical place!)

Well to be fair to Felipe, his Ferrari screwed him over about 4 times in the season and in a couple of the races he started from well behind he came back well! (I said a couple, which means he didn't do that well in a couple others)

Not the all long massa had thise failures, kimi this eh? Its just a fact that in the beginning of the season Massa was better, but in the end Kimi got better when he was used to the ferrari, and if Massa was better Kimi mostly was very close, while Massa sometimes was way off ( China, Kimi was waay ahead of Massa, Belgian gp massa couldnt follow Kimi's pace untill kimi slowed down abit at the end and more of this kind)
