Massa's charity kart race 2008 (Schumi again!)

Yoo guys again Massa's charity kart race that includes some famous drivers, since 2006 it became an international event:

2006 won by Felipe
2007 won by Michael

2008 already confirmed names:

Michael Schumacher
Jeff Gordon (Nascar)
Robert Kubica
...


Felipe will announce a more detailed list this day 7 (august) ! but so far looks again very promising this year

that event is internationally known and one of the most prestigious karting events, people know :p

Vitantonio Liuzzi and Lucca Filipi pulled back today, they have F1 dutties Tarso Margues will join instead, and López , former GP2-driver or what not, wil join too

I've been reading some interesting things about this event. It's all in portuguese though, and I'm not too keen on translating it right now, but suffice to say, my respect for Massa has reached an all new time low. I can try and translate some of it tomorrow, but if anyone reads portuguese here, just read these links:

It basically says that Massa organized the Desafio Internacional das Estrelas only for self-elevation, that the event was supposed to happen in Bauru (a city near São Paulo) and much of it had already been paid, that five of the go-karts were to be driven by young drivers (who'd fight for them) and Massa just said "no" in the last minute and decided to invite more famous drivers... Anyway,

I've just watched the 2nd race on British Eurosport, was quite good!

a few times MS was battling with Massa and Barrichello, then when he got up to 2nd, someone went up MS' inside and pushed him wide so more cars went through so MS dropped downto 7th. then he went up again then dropped down again after more contact.

but he finished 6th and had enough points to win the whole event anyway.

and on the podium, after the top 3 drivers got their trophies, Massa gave MS a laptop, still in the box, then gave Burti a small radio/cd player. don't know why, they can probably afford those items already. maybe they gave them to chariry afterwards.
