But his logic is strange.
He says the designers promise him 50% less df.

But yeah, of course, it probably starts out like that, but these are some of the most clever engineers about, im sure they're gonna find ways to cut that 50%, not because they want to go quicker because its just going quicker, but simply because they want to win!

When the announcement came that slicks were in for 2009 i was sure that it wasn't 100% certain so i'm not surprised by the u-turn by Max. What an idiot.

It was always subject to tests and even with the same down force limits that will be set in 2009 the cars were faster than now from what I read anyway.

He argues he wants more mechanical grip and less aero grip..so how does not allowing slicks help? The new regs will cut downforce and aero grip massively and if you remove the mechanical grip too then the cars are just going to have very little grip at all, putting Heidfelds comments (about the cars being unsafe and horrible to drive) into perspective :)

That was when nick tested the 2009 areo with grooved tyres.

When grooves came into f1 drivers said the same thing then.

Nick Heidfeld is a total pussy, this is why he isnt world champion material, same loser attitued like fisichella, this is what his teammate Kubica said about recent testing to f1.com:
"We've been mainly working on the 2008 electronics and on the mechanical side of things, Aside from that I was running with the 2009 Bridgestone, which was great fun."

what a contrast in comments, heidfeld should stop complaining and learn how to drive, kubica 10 years less experience was faster then heidfeld on the new slick tires.

Heifeld has been in F1 for 8 years. Kubica for 1. That's 7 years, not 10. Heidfeld and Kubica joined BMW at the same time, 2006. Heifeld hasn't driven slick tyres since 1999 when he was in F3000, whilst Kubica last drove them in 2005. One could argue Kubica actually has more experience with the relevant equipment.

When am I going to read on the news that FIA Head D&*k has been assasinated!
This guy is a complete joke...

To red5.... You're right, I dont think were allowed to have fun... he is so out of touch with reality its not funny anymore..

But ofcourse, a former lawyer would know how to run Formula 1.

When you were launched into the world were you naturally born an F1 fan, or did that sort of grow on you?

I'm the complete opposite of what a fan of Max Mosely would be like, as are most of us, but to suggest he just offered his services on the basis of being nothing more than a lawyer can only be described as ignorance.

And let's face it, as much as we dislike Max, most of us would pick him over Balestre, wouldn't we?

Im open to my opinion to dislike Max.

I cant comment on Balestre as I wasnt around when he was in charge, although I have read about all the dramas that did happen.

All Im saying, is that he has lost touch with the fans, and has forgotten what we want as fans, who pay money to go to the races.

Just something random about Belestre. He was nearly hit by Larini while crossing the track at the Woodcoote chicane at the end of the first lap of the British GP 1989.

wot he should do is hold a voting poll where he sets some choices like ask a few questions on wot the veiwer wants like

q1. slicks/grooves
q2. sidepod winglets - aloowed\illegal
q3. front wing dropped down or stay how it is
ect ect
just an idea. then the fia should have a fair idea in wot the paying public wants to see not wot HE wants to see.

Also another thing drivers saying it is too dangerous should just quit, i know its easy to say when you dont drive the cars but seriously. complaining about driving in the wet, slicks with no tc, it was only 10 yrs ago when this was reality, and they did it no complainig about it i remember villeneuve getting into heaps of trouble by critising max mosely about putting grroves in. Let the veiwer decide run a poll (again) and actually look at it this time
