Drivers are like that though, i remember how much they complained when the '98 rules came in that reduced downforce and grip. They'll just get used to it.

lol at Ralf Schumacher who was slow and went off the track a couple times. Times up time to quit quietly!

this picture of the mclaren rear is stunning... its amazing how much better a car looks with slicks on!

to be honest i'm not a fan of those ultra-skinny rear wings. they don't look "natural" IMO. but maybe that's just because we see them so rarely throughout a year of F1.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

And that could be why I like them so much lol.

Apparentely, people over the track were more impressed with Schumacher's time, since he did on slicks, but with 2009 aero rules while the rest did it on slicks with 2008 aero rules.

Just shows why you shouldnt just look at testing times and assume thats the current form :)

Hmm.

Of course, it's still a test, but he clearly wasn't only on slicks and 2009 aero regs.

He's much better than that test suggested, but he himself is saying he expects that to be his last F1 drive - well according to Bild, but it is a quote. It's a shame - I was expecting him to be quite refreshed driving for another team.

what i think he's forgotten here is he won't be the only guy with a car fitted with the new regs, so it'll be the same for everyone. no one will be flyimg by him dangerously.

Will they use Monza wings all year round in 2009??
Don't know. I think they are just simulating the levels of downforce they will be allowed to have by then.
I think the cars will be more simple in the sidepods and body, (a la 2000) but the wings won't be as skinny as that.

I'm very excited to see slicks back, I've been waiting ten years for this to happen and finally, my prayers have been answered!

Guess God's Helpline finally got back to me!

Now if they could just do what Mr Anderson suggested in Autosport...
