I hope he doesnt return to F1.

Lets face it, who ever was driving that car would've led the race when he did. He didnt exactly set the world alight, and threw it off the track a couple of times if I remember.

In saying how he wasnt that good, Im still sure he would've lapped about 35 seconds a lap faster than myself!

Whether or not he could drive faster than you is irrelevant. He would make Ricardo Rosset look quick.

And what about Ide and Yoong then?

I remember Ide spinning 3 times in a qualifying lap at Melbourne last year!

And you are ;)

In 2007, he has remained in Formula Nippon with the Autobacs Racing Team Aguri team, which is owned by Aguri Suzuki. His best finish of the season is a third place, scored in round five at Suzuka.

Thinking back, just like Winckelhock, Deletraz had his own little moment of fame at the Nuburgring!

A little different to Winckelhock's though!

Excuse My ignorance, but who is Deletraz? Im guessing a bit before my time.

Also on the subject of woefulness... remember Stephanie Sarrazin.. He filled in for Minardi at the brazilian GP in 99.. I think, when he crashed at the last corner and spun about 13 times... was quiet hillarious!

Deletraz was a shite driver. That's all you need to know, really.

And Sarrazin was actually said to be quite a good driver.

Deletraz is undoubtedly the worst of the bunch in the modern era. This small passage from Rejects just about sums up what I remember of him:

"...he ended up qualifying the Pacific dead last, over 12 seconds slower than pole-sitter David Coulthard, more than 5 seconds behind the cumbersome Fortis and almost 7 seconds away from his own team-mate, Andrea Montermini.

"His time would have only qualified him 22nd for the F3000 support race. Now, whatever problems Délétraz and the team may have been having with what was admittedly a dog of a car, one can't deny that there was something quite disappointing about that."

:D

Yeah, had to go and read about him again myself after reading this thread as I didn't remember him being quite as bad as it was made out. He was. That final sentence made me laugh out loud too.
