Force India has announced who will test their car next week. The car will have a red-white design.

3 of the 6 drivers are no surprises: Adrian Sutil, whose future is still very open, testdriver Giedo van de Garde, and that damn Roldan Rodriquez (probably the most talented Spanish driver ever *sarcastic*)

But the 3 others are a bit more surprising: Christian Klien, who has broken his Honda contract, Vitantonio Liuzzi, who had put his hope at a seat at Williams (but it became Nakajima) or Toyota (instead of Timo Glock), and last but not least Ralf Schumacher. The younger Schumacher is well known with the new owner Vijay Malliah, boss of Toyota sponsor Kingfisher.

After the last race the team stated Sakon Yamamoto would also test the car, but no news of him... Well not the biggest loss of F1 :)

I heard Giancarlo could also test the car.

This is pretty good, Sutil, Klien, Luizzi, Ralf and possibly Giancarlo would be good for the team.

Though im sure youve heard the rumour that if Ralf signs, Mike G will be off ;)!

Lol ;)

Rodriquez has a contract for 2008, but still has no superlicence, so there are rumours they won't let him test so he won't be able to race next year.

What about the Ralf-Karthekyian combination?

Going to the Gascoyne thing, he said Ralf had something to do with him being axed from Toyota, so if I was him I would leave too. Also look a what he's done with the B Spec Spyker it would be a great lose to the team to lose him than a benefit to hire Ralf.

They wont hire ralf at all.

Klien, Sutil, Luizzi and Giancarlo I expect will all more or less race for free.

Gascoyne is in *no* position to throw his weight around. The only car he has been involved with that hasn't been rubbish is a Jordan which he took credit for even though he didn't design. He's been running about on Toyotas money for years making his sub-standard cars look almost acceptable.

Force India has announced who will test their car next week. The car will have a red-white design.

Just like Toyota, and Super Aguri, and to a lesser extent McLaren and Ferrari.

I dont think Gascoyne's strength lies in the design of the cars, it must be his ability to manage his workers effectively, as a good technical director should. Renault were a mess before his arrival and he set in place systems that eventually culminated in the 2005-6 championships. Same at Toyota although with no real design talent there anyway, they've fallen. When he was there though they caught a few podiums, although as Dave rightly points out, with that sort of money behind them they should've gotten more.

Its sort of difficult to gauge his effectiveness, but he was on $8 million at Toyota. You'd think for that money, they'd want a designer who was absolutely the nuts. A Rory Byrne, or maybe even an Adrian Newey. Instead they got Gascoyne, who I dont think can lay claim to anything worthwhile. I don't think he's a bad director, and he's someone who could probably do a lot with a team such as Spyker. Force India, sorry.

I think Klien and Sutil will get the drive. The test drivers don't look intresting and both Klien and Sutil have race experience. Schumacher won't get in cos he costs to much and Liuzzi might get a test drive somewhere else.

It's not a case of who's the best driver though, it's which will do the best job for the team, and we don't know if that includes a paying driver yet.

Regarding Ralf... @#$%&. That's some fall from grace. I'd be staggered if he took that drive just to stay in F1. Surely there's more fun to be had in other racing series...?

I still think he deserves to be in F1, but not in a Farce.

Ralf has shown no intrest in having fun in F1 though. He says Spa shouldn't be on the calender and thinks the Tilkedromes aren't safe enough.

Luizzi, good driving ?

Lol.

The team should go for Klien and Sutil imo.

Both better than Ralf and Luizzi. And like ive said will race for almost nothing I bet.

Luizzi has had his time, he wasted it and if Scott was kicked out, so should Luizzi, infact, I think Luizzi should be out before Ralf!

And the 6th position in China? or the 4th position in the Monaco Q1?

Ok, Sutil started a F3 race in Macao from the 18th position and he finished 3rd, in a street circuit, but I think that he has other teams offers

And Klien hasn't?

No.
he hasnt.
Luizzi got told he was the best and believed it.
All he did throughout 2006 and 2007 was have a laugh with his rather 'loose' team.

I think Liuzzi's better than most of you think, but not as good as HE thinks he is. If the likes of Vettel and Davidson have a place in F1, then Liuzzi certainly should IMHO.

They should go with Fisi and Klien. Fisi brings experience plus Klien is still relatively young...
