I think he deserves it on consistency more than anything else, the fact that he was up to speed straight away was also mega impressive.
Champion or not this weekend he has been awesome all season for a rookie. I do wonder how well he'll do without a strong team mate or in a uncompetitive car, time will tell.

erm, im not sure if there was e-sarcasm there mike (really, im not sure) but im not biased. Im a kimi fan, but kimi doesnt deserve man of the year because he had a mare of an early season (bar Oz of course). Lewis is a bit annoying, but he is mega. end of.

the problem is when you have to look at a driver without seeing his human side. the same was with schumacher. hamilton and schumacher are crap persons and excellent drivers. And then people mix this up, and we end up getting threads like this.

edit - brnco, shumacher crap person? i dont fully understand what is meant by that but as a person imo Shumacher was as much as star as he was a driver.

It is a biased reply peat, even if you are a Kimi fan. It implies that we can't vote for anyone else!

@chet, you used to hate him(schumacher) until m-man told you otherwise. schumacher is crap, he drove the race when his mom died, and celebrated. end of story.

at winners press. conf. at imola '94 he(MS) was asked "who is going to be your main opponent, now when senna is gone". he(MS) smiled -beleived or not- shook his shoulders and while smile was still on showed to the left(larini) and to the right(hakkinen) and said ,well I guess them, and smiled again. So you tell me what kind of guy was he(MS) 01.05.1994. was the best day of his life and you could see it by that smile.

OK, so apparently the video is edited and I will obay the majority and am removing it. Yeah, really how could I even think MS was a crap whem he is such a gread chap. Afterall he hit Hill in Adelaide '94 and Villeneuve in Jerez '97. If nothing than this two moments show us what a great guy he(MS) was. And I do not need an youtoube video to prove it

but do you not understand, they only found out Senna had died just before they got onto the podium. Even Larini is celebrating on the podium because he just came 2nd. they all knew Senna had crashed but they didn't know it was fatal till they had finished the race.

True but Roland had died just the day before. Imo they should not have had a podium ceremony for that race, in any case when i was watching the race at the time i thought Senna was badly hurt but i didn't expect him to be dead that evening.
