At this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix Red Bull Racing driver David Coulthard will pay tribute to rally legend Colin McRae who was killed in a tragic helicopter crash last week. Coulthard will race with a helmet painted in McRae's colours.
Coulthard's country fellow and friend Colin McRae was killed last week with his helicopter. The cause is yet unknown but his wife lost both husband and son in the tragic accident.
Coulthard explains about his tribute in his ITV column: "I will race with a helmet painted in Colin McRae's colours at the Japanese Grand Prix. I obviously had a friendship with him and there are a number of other guys in F1 that knew him as well.
"I know that there was a high regard for his driving skill among us. He was such an understated yet fantastically talented individual. Colin crossed over between the disciplines in a way that doesn't happen very often. I believe Valentino Rossi dedicated his victory in Estoril to him."
Here are the pictures of the helmet...
For me, the best helmet ever seen for Formula One...
