I very much doubt it too. There aren't even rumours about them anymore...

Yes that was a month ago.

Its all probably due to the mclaren thing tbh, they probably can not anounce plans until the court case is finished.

mclaren will not go for heidfeld, he is too old and no possibility of his talent improving, they know hes not quite good enough thats why he never got a race seat with them before... remember sauber rookie raikonnen was chosen over sauber teammate heidfeld in 2001. kubica could follow a similar career path as raikonnen. and the trend these days is for top teams to go for young talent. heidfeld, fisichella, webber.. they will never win a championship.

the reason i mention kubica for mclaren, because on a polish site, they have already stated about a rumour of the possibility of kubica to take alonsos seat next year. that would be a good pairing, kubica could match hamilton in f3, hamilton speaks highly of him as his likely strongest competitor in the coming years in f1, and the 2 are friends. but if hamilton swears at dennis again, i think he will be given the boot, and mclaren could then lose 2 drivers if alonso walks out. i wonder if dennis was tempted to sack him there and then, but cant do it for the sake of the championship for mclaren.

For whoever asked, yes, Rubens has resigned for Honda for 2008. He will, I believe, break the record for the most GP starts if he completes the season...

Due to the voting system in Germany, Governments are always made up of coalitions of different parties. At the last election, an almost unprecidented result saw the CDU/CSU (rough equivilant of the Conservatives) go into Government with the SPD (rough equivilant of Labour)

I think Ralf will stay at Toyota, probably with a huge pay cut, but his perfomances lately has been better than what Jarno's done the whole year, he just needs to keep doing it over and over, when he said that the car was simply not suited to him i didn't believed him much tbh, but i'm starting to doing it now, if only Toyota would work around him and built a car for him, i'm sure it could be even better, the problem is that one year seems to fit one driver and the other year the other driver, some might find my comment biased of course, and it's true i haven't lost faith in him after his late performances, i mean, he was fighitng the BMW's in Silverstone, and in Nurburgring and then at Hungary, something Jarno's haven't done this year, and it seems to keep getting better, this might sound selfish, but i'm sure if Toyota works around Ralf, and builds a car around him they'll get better results than if they do it with Jarno

PS: yesterday my best friend brought me Ralf's cap straight from Germany :)

cheers!

Sutil gets on with lewis and he is German so he would fit in as well.

But looks like alonso will stay now as the drivers seem to be talking to each other now

Yes he probably will. However Ricardo Patrese's career covered the '70s, '80s and '90s!

Patrese did 16 seasons. Rubens will have completed 15 by the end of next year, but you are right, when you think of Patrese you think he was around for much longer!

Why would Alonso go to BMW? Sure, they have done well this year, but so did BAR a few years back. Until they show consistently good performance, they were just lucky.

To be honest, anyoen who thinks Alonso will leave McLaren at the end of the year is an eternaldreamer and has little grasp of the reality of F1's business world.

@ RedSam... yeah, Patrese was around for an incredible amount of time. But consider that modern F1 seasons have more races... even if only by a few, it quickly stacks up! Consider, for example, that Nick Heidfeld already has more GP starts that double World Champion sir Jackie Stewart...

Triple World Champ.
What is impressive for me about Ricardo Patrese's career was the quality of drivers and the rate of change in technology and performance in F1 between 1977 and 1993.

F1 certainly changed a lot more from 77-93 than 93 to 07, on the face of it
