You do know this is illegal right? You can't make money on copyrighted material.

lol this is hilarious.

you know FOM (Bernie's company that owns the rights to distribute) will try to sue your ass and get you closed down for selling their property, don't you?

and this forum will be closed down too, if they find out.

edit: jeez, he's posted in the Other Motorsports forum too :(

apparently it was a glitch with the timing system, so the 3 drivers didn't actually all get the same times. that's what Dave Ellis said, so i've no reason to doubt him.

let's just hypothetically say that hypothetically you'd hypothetically sell some races, how much hypothetically would you hypothetically charge per race on a purely hypothetical basis? *winks*

Considering most of the Del Boys get the races they are selling for free from the internet they don't deserve the time of day imo.

Tbh i would never sell them, for me if someone ejoys the sport and wants to watch an old race they should be able to.

Bernie should make them available all they should cost is the price of a blank dvd and postage.

From what I understand anyway BBC own the rights to alot of the races they showed as it was their camera's but could be wrong. I know it the past ITV have had probs showing old race clips due to the BBC.

Its us that suffer because so many people have not seen people like mansell, senna, prost race and some other older drivers

The BBC only started broadcasting races in 1978 but as few video recorders existed around then the chances of finding races or highlights are very slim. However i have all the BBC races from 1979 until 1996. I'm guessing that if the BBC could sell the races it would have by now but FOCA would simply charge too much for it to be profitable.
You used to be able to buy some old FOCA F1 races legally but i can't find them on the Duke website anymore but i did find this little dodgy jem for those who are interested.

Nothing to suggest you can buy them, unless you know differently ;-). I was unable to record and store them all myself, but I did record them as I went. I think I have 2002 to current on VHS and DVD, and I've acquired all the way back to 1979 myself, but I could do with a few higher quality versions of some races.

Yes sadly some of the older seasons are not the best quality due to the age and/or quality of the tapes that they were recorded on. Would love to see remastered versions of the older seasons sometime in the future!
