I'm merely going by what I remember Honda saying, not the times he set which I have no clue what they were in relation to others.

hey good pics Peat!

and i'm surprised at how much access you had, from right in front of the garages to the pitstands. i thought all that would be cordoned off. bet it was fun!

I keep hearing stories about the weather being dreadful on Thursday, which is when I'm going.

Does anyone know if they are likely to run in the wet? Or will they pack up and go home early?

Peat - Did you have to show your VIP pass to get under the copse tunnel, or was that open to all?

Fresco - Yes, unfortunately security was quite tight. BUT...There were loads of peopel with passes, so immerse yourself into a big group of them and walk straight through!!! I did that a few years ago!

I went today too :) My dad loves F1 so I decided to treat him to a hospitality ticket for Fathers Day (1 day late.... close enough) I packed my coat and it didn't rain at all! Ended up getting sunburn in the end, went and forgot my sun-tan lotion :\

The paddock and Pit Walk was stupidly busy, it would be very easy to get in the middle of a group and get through without a pass :)

Heres a few shots I managed to take, seen as I've never attempted to take shots of F1 cars, and they were stupidly fast especially through Maggots, I think some turned out pretty well, some I didn't lower the exposure enough, meah still learning :)

Was a great day out though! to be honest seen as I'd been getting bored of F1 recently I thought it would be boring, but turned out to be great! Those engines are so damn loud ;)

EDIT: In the second post (where the bmw is stoped), remindes me of the tarmac texture from 2005 Istambul track From CTDP (first one, not the fix pack vers) hehe....it was the same colour (brownish)

Nice shots Ian, were you in the hospitality at the entrance to the pitlane? There was a lovely Mc-Merc SLR parked outside.

Those final shots, was that all the way down at club? I cant work it out.

Hell yeah I saw them! They had a Silver and Black one, the Black Macca fired up too as we were walking past, thing of beauty that is :D

Those Photos were taken on the Outside of Abbey in the Grandstand (Kinda had to run through the BRDC Farm's Garden to get to the Abbey Grandstand, shouldn't have left the gate open! ;))

Probably be better if I show you the panoramic of the corner :) -

I wanted to get down to Club but it was blocked off ,same deal with the outside of Farm where I can get some great shots of them through the Abbey/Farm Chicane , gutting :(

wow nice pics Ian! is that panoramic pic 2 pics stitched together? or does your camera have a super wide lens? i can sort of see a vertical join going through the blue tyre barried in the middle of the pic.
