2008 Mediterranean GP at Valencia???

I've read in some papers from Spain that Valencia will have a F1 GP next year and it will be announced tomorrow by Bernie Ecclestone. The race will be held around the streets of the city, very close from the America's Cup and "La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias". Yahoo!! very close from where I live..maybe i can find a friend's house to watch it live.

yup- that is exactly where and it would be pretty spectacular to have a race around there

Cant help but notice the lack of bridge...

There will be a boat getting everyone to the other side, every lap. Looks interesting though, glad they take a city course and not the test course, as that one is very much like barcelona imo.

I don't think it'll be happening next year, and that's assuming that it's not the Spanish equivalent of the tabloids over here. Think about it - all of the recent new races have been announced a couple of years in advance.

Wow, it was confirmed today, starting next year (2008)!!

I'm pretty happy cause I'm sick of all the generic Tilke dromes so this one will provide a nice contrast. They need to build that bridge though if that's the actual layout.
