Canada only has big deceleration if you want to. You can setup the car so that it'll be quicker for the entire mid-sector, and have a slower top speed at the back straight. It actually balances out, but then you must be willing to take the risk, as other cars with a high top speed might suddenly find it very easy to overtake you.
The canada straight is somehow similar to the gp4 tunnel "straight"the top speed is a bit bigger at canada, but with only about 5, max 10 km/h), but it's radder the same, and there are some hard parts in the circuit, so i think, is good that bridgestone uses this types of tires.
