ive noticed on a few forums that people have 'forgot' thier old favourites

Posted by chet
Lewis seems to have touched more than a few peoples hearts !
But what ive seen, it looks like a few people have dropped their old favourite in favour for the 'new flavour'.

"Trulli was slowing down like he wanted to have a picnic" LOL
I'm supporting lewis more than kimi at the moment that's for sure!

I started going off kimi last year simply as I thought he lost his focus and I think it still shows this year, its not the same kimi from other years.

Tbh i dont really support any one driver now I am just enjoying the racing.

Will always be a Rubens fan :)

However, have also followed Lewis for years, so pleased he is doing well!

Due to the voting system in Germany, Governments are always made up of coalitions of different parties. At the last election, an almost unprecidented result saw the CDU/CSU (rough equivilant of the Conservatives) go into Government with the SPD (rough equivilant of Labour)
Same here no favourites just enjoy a good drive and a good scrap.
Tbh the fawning of Lewis on ITV is getting quite nauseating now.
I've always been a McLaren fan rather than any particular driver, so this suits me!

will still support Kimi ,Lewis has done very well indeed but will never be the driver that I support.
I've always supported McLaren and I always liked one driver, so I support him, Lewis in this case.

Quite. "Herioc" drive today apparently... year... OK James. Good to see he's doing well, but please someone point out the flaws... 3 races now he's lost some drive when he's not had a direct target.
It was the same with Jenson a few years ago - when John Button kept being collared each race - it's just the ITV way, annoying as it may be. And James Allen doesn't exactly need an excuse to talk bollocks now does he.
James Allen - "Of course its easy to forget there are 21 other drivers on the grid"
Yes of course it is when you spend the whole commentry trying to bum Lewis Hamilton
When will ITV finally replace him?

nop i was with michael, but as he retired i have now started to support Felipe.
Well, michael schumacher 4ever, but now, sadly, in this "iceage" i support kimi, because i like his driving style.

Scuderia Ferrari Forever
Ever since I started following F1 again at the end of 2004, I've been supporting Kimi. I'm not sure if Ferrari was the best team for him, but I'll keep supporting him all the way. End of last year I started to like BMW and so started to support Nick as well, since I figure he is the better driver of the two, but Kimi is still number one for me.
I don't stoically support 1 driver to the exclusion of all others. I've always supported Alonso, always liked Schumacher's driving style, etc. Sometimes my support shifts - e.g. I disliked the winy, underperforming Coulthard at McLaren, but now he's revitalised and outspoken at Red Bull I'm cheering for him. I also support some drivers outside F1.

So from that respect, the fact that I'm a fan of Lewis Hamilton doesn't mean I've "abandoned" my old favourites, I've just made room for another person to follow.

i was always for MS, but during '05 Kimi really impressed me, and now he's at Ferrari i favour him more than Massa, who i don't care for much, although Kimi does seem to be lacking the spark somewhat at the moment. i don't think i'll ever support anyone as much as i did MS, so like others, i'm just watching the racing hoping for good battles.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael
I must admit, ages ago on here when Lewis was in F3 I posted a message saying as soon as hes in F1 im gonna forget Jenson :p

But im a good fan and will stick by through thick and thin, because in my mind he still is the best :)
