Discuss? Discuss what? Nothing happened yet ;)
;) If you were in Ferrari's shoes, what would you do if you thought Kimi's engine wasn't in such good health going into the weekend? A few years ago I would have said risk it, but knowing now just how important points are, I might be tempted to change his engine, start p11, p12, and jus aim to score some solid points.

Change it, rather change it now and lose ten places and score some points then do a Button and score no points at all.

change the engine! sepang of ALL places!

kimi has a reliable car under him, an it is quick.

with his charge, he can make up the drop and be fighting for the podium!

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it
yeh i aree with that, lets hope ferrari are following this thread

Kimi and Ferrari will try that engine in saturdays practise and then they will make decision that will they change it or not.

It will be interesting to see if it rains this weekend ....most likely some point it will and heavily too.

Rain predicted.

And you all know when it rains in Malysia, it rains !!

Good I say, I have a feeling though that the BMW will be quickestin the wet.

well, if it rains it changes everything, as we know, Alonso and kimi are really quick in the rain but with new tyres and new car hmmm, i don't know, i'll put my money on Massa, Nick, Ralf, and maybe Jenson, cuz hamilton is a rookie, and i'm not sure about him in the rain, never saw him., at Renault is not much to say really, Kubica was a complete mess last year at hungary and china, so that leaves Nick, Ralf, Jenson, whom we all know are experienced in this conditions and seem to have an upper hand, and well Massa who knows the Bridgestones in the wet

True, and I doubt they'll risk it if the engine isn't 100%. I would probably change it...it's Kimi...he can win the race starting from p11...specially if it rains.
Would love to see Massa and Rubens in the wet. Hell, maybe even Button! A wet track would even things out a bit...

Catch 22 really.

I would change it but then the engine would have to do 2 hot races and everyone else will get a fresh engine for the next race.

Maybe they can get him through the gp but at lower revs starting from pole and maybe he could get 3rd or something.

Starting 10 places back the highest he would finish would probably be 5th and thats if he started 11th. He would end up on the same strategy as the front runners. I would start him from the back do a 1 stop if the tyres last but that would still probably only get him 5th.

Anyway looks like the little off he had is Australia caused the problem just like with JV in 1996.

In testing when its rained so far mclaren seem to have the edge so if it rains I expect mclaren to shine.

I'd change it. We know the Ferrari has pace and can probably score a podium from 11th or 12th on the grid!

On a side note, I wouldn't put Heidfeld past getting a podium, or Hamilton to win it!

Hmm i just popped onto weather.com and apparently, Sepang is due to "scattered thunderstorms" over saturday and sunday.

Still hot though, pushing 100F

If it rains, im gonna have to put my money on the McLarens, JB and KR.... if it doesn't rain, then scratch JB from that list, haha

I thought that was a place in Holland? ;)

Looking forward to another wet race, quite honestly i don't care who wins as long as it's entertaining. With flexi floors banned and teams making progess with sorting out their cars we could see close racing.
