this comes from a guy he used to stay awake all night waiting for the australian gp,reading f1 mags while waiting.
is it me or anybody shares with ne the amount of excitment that i don't have for f1 this day.
maybe because i saw too many 2007 tests on youtube i feel that the oz gp will offer nothing new.

Well, I haven't watched anything related to F1 since the Brazillian GP last year, so I'm really looking forward to this GP. I know most people here get worked up on the rules, regulations, restrictions on the cars, etc...but for me that's not what I like. I think it's interesting to see what each team will come up with each year to blow over those stupid rules and see who will win. Maybe a bit off topic, but whatever ;)

I was a bit lost about this season, being a Schumacher fan through his whole F1 career, and a Ferrari fan in general.
I like following a driver rather than a team, but it's going to take a while to warm to Kimi if you'll excuse the pun)So I'm kind of on the lookout for a driver to back.

I think I'm getting caught up in the Lewis Hamilton hype, and as I slowly learn more about him I think my excitement level will pick up as the season goes on (especially if the Reds are winning! and if Hamilton can show good potential for the future.)

What I mean to say is it's a kind of slow start for me this year.

Whatever HakkF1, i find it hard to believe that your not gonna get excited considering you spent the entire winter posting tons of drivle on this F1 forum....

Oh for God's sake, this is the kind of thing you moan about on MSN, not create a new thread about! And we all know perfectly well that you'll be getting up early to watch it, just as always.

i think it's natural to feel less excited about F1 as you get older. it's like anything really, you watch it or do it for so long, it simply can't give you the same thrill as it used to when you were younger or first started watching/doing it.

on one hand i'm sad that MS won't be there, he's been in F1 for the whole time i have watched F1, but on the other hand it's still the same thing as it ever was, men driving around in fast cars, so the loss of 1 driver shouldn't make too much difference. it's exciting that there are new cars, new drivers, new combinations of cars and drivers, so in my case, i just have to forget about missing MS and look at the drivers who are there now.

i'm rooting for Kimi, but don't have the same kind of emotional feeling for him as i did for MS.

and i really like Lewis' attitude, so will be supporting him too.

Iam excited because we have JB,DC,Ant,Lewis, and Wurz.

And at least one of those drivers will be in the points everyrace I reckon, so ill be pleased :D

Wurz is probably for me going to be the most exciting thing about this season :D

I somehow think though that Wurz will disappoint a bit.

i always remember Wurz for his battle with MS at Monaco '98, and his overtake of HHF (i think) at Interlagos '97 (i think, might have been '98). that's why i'm looking forward to him being a race driver again.

And he is one of the most clever race drivers.

I hope he gets a televised press con soon, he even sounds clever lol.

Its about time he got his chance again.

He gives very good feedback from a technical point of view, hence why he has been so successful as a test driver and he has shown his ability to race hard and overtake others in the past. He is worthy of his seat imo.

Hmm he also has a habit of crashing a bit if I remember correctly... one or two huge smashes per season, although none yet in pre-season.

Guess he's ironed out his errors, or maybe the excitement of the first corner gets to him a bit much, bless him

I don't mind Wurz, but I don't think he'll be the one to bounce Williams back. And I'm not sure about Nico either so, I think the best they can do this year is grab a few podiums here and there.

I think Williams would give a lot for a few podiums this year!

Yeah, I'm not saying it would be bad for them to get podiums, but if they have any higher goes for the future seasons, they should get some other driver to do the job.

I too used to stay up all night back in the days 99,00, 01 etc then I sort of only got up on time and last year I didn't even watch the GP live. This year I'm off skiing at the time so I won't be watching it at all, but hopefully it's a good race. Kind of odd not having the read baron around anymore :P
