Hi all. Reading a recent thread by Palomino about his own track designs encouraged me to look up all my designs that I made about a year/two years ago. Mine are all on paper, but I'm doing one on MS Paint.

Here's the first. Still VERY WIP. The actual track layout is almost finished, I think...

Any ideas on how I could improve the layout?

Post comments!!

P.S. Hope you can read the key!!

Very nice... lovely long corners....
See the middle left doble-hairpin type thingy... if you took that out and put in a super fast s bend type thingy(with a little drop)... would make the track a little faster. just a suggestion

Change it for me if you want, so I can see what you mean. :)

Nah...i'd just feck it up. Actually looking at it again it does give a good overtaking possibility. Any chance of it coming out as a fantasy track?:)

Well, I think giving a bit longer straight before the last corner could get cars close, so they would be able to pass more there. Other than that, it is a very nice track. Maybe take away all that sand? On the straights is not so nice...Put them mostly on bankings, and some tarmac escape areas.

This sudden trend makes me want to upload my tracks from paper to computer..... I miss highschool days when I could simply draw circuits all day and get an A, Bloody university no fun anymore!

Your circuit is great I like the last section especially. Down the front straight remove those chicanes and let the cars run up to the final corner. Barcelona styles!!!!

Depends how long the straight is :) Or else you might "kill" an overtaking area.

Right, based on all of your comments such as longer straights, "Barcelona style" last corners, and a more complex infeild section (designed by The Lopper), here's another WIP track.

Please post comments!

Concerning your first track design: can I stop you now before you line the whole track with gravel?! Looks nice on the diagram, might look a bit silly in real life! Here's my track design...

Alex: your track looks like a combo of Barcelona (with the first sector) and Bathurst (with the Big Dipper section)

Pretty interesting though!
