Yep, it is repeated. New Year's Eve; 9pm; ITV4.

Hmmmm. If an Alien arrived from somewhere and saw it he would probably think that Lewis won the championship.

In the first 1/2 hour or so I dont think a single minute passed without mentioning young Mr Hamilton by name! A long winded season review with Steve Ryder filmed at McLarens factory was NOT required for the man who came second in his first season. "The greatest rookie season EVER" (I'm waiting for the immortal line "Lewis cures Africa" headline Im sure ITV have got on the back burner somewhere.

The promised Kimi interview was the classic back of the pitlane jobby. And even then Martin managed to get Lewis into 1 of his 6 questions. In fact Kimis year review was at all times compared to Lewis. :-(

As above, Ted got it very wrong insinuating that Lewis was only denied the WDC by EVIL Brazilian sqruntineers and the EVIL FIA. I also notice that in light of McLaren's apology Martin was less vociferous about how the FIA were stitching them up. Didnt really give a new angle either on the whole affair

Jenson Button. God, what ever happened to him after he left F1? Well to be honest, I dont even care. Why do a longish interview with him? And unlike Autosport (who put him 5th or 6th! in their driver of the year) and Brundle, I dont think his stock rose as a result of having a @#$%& car. Davison (to my surprise) was the Brit revelation of the year if we talk of good driving with crap car. (Vettel was THE crap car revelation 4th China Toro Rosso)

And inevitably they had to squeeze in the "StewMossHill o Saurus" to give good head, sorry soundbites, about how Lewis was actually the only driver on the grid.

In conclusion, not surprised ITV stooped this low. Just disappointed they devoted an hour less ads to this garbage. They had the perfect chance to redress the balance.

about the best rookie ever, i think they are already forgotten villeneuve, you can see how the british media hypes everything, while villeneuve had a superb debut to. Just like when Button wasnt winning races, every week there was a message how many gp button drove without winning, but no one mentioning Heidfeld who has driven now far more races without a single win! British media are big retards.

Hyping things is the work of the press. They want as many readers as possible, so write what the big public wants to read: Hamilton. Hamilton is the British hero at the moment so people want to know when he whipes his ass and with which toiletpaper brand.

I wish I was in your situation Iceman Paul, lol, all they had was Lewis talking about the season from his perspective. Once that bit was out of the way it wasn't actually too bad a review. Not as in depth as you would like but tbh, how deep can you go in an hour? (minus 30 mins of lewis hype and 15 mins of adverts lol).

Yeah, almost 100 percent review of Lewis Hamilton... I'm really surprised that they even remembered rest of the grid and almost at the end of show gave each team.. erm... maybe 30 secs :D An that Ted's comment - if that, that Lewis would have won.. it's just...

For the record, Villeneuve was technically a F1 rookie, but he had 2 years experience in top-level Indycars. ;-) Likewise with Bourdais, technically a rookie, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him consistently out-perform Vettel and the car. He did wipe the Champcar field 4 seasons running after all (yes, the field has some questionable talent, but still... kudos where it's deserved)...

Everyone knows that million-to-one chances happen 9 times out of 10; indeed, it's a common requirement in fairy tales. If the human didn't have to overcome huge odds, what would be the point? Terry Pratchett - The Science Of Discworld

Bourdais has easily the best car, and the CCWS directors spent 4 years perfecting the art of questionable decisions in his favour. Bourdais has archived jack.

Which is why it's a good thing that he's joined a midfield team like Torro Rosso.
Sebastain Vettel is a real talent imo and if he can beat him over the season then my opinion of Bourdais will change.

I thought I'd add this here, as we mentioned James Allens piece on ITV-F1

Martin has just written a piece for the site about Lewis. Maybe not as glowing as Allens, but Brundle still manages to sneak in the ridiculous comment about how seeing the aftermath of Kubica's accident would of rattled other drivers, but not Lewis!

FFS he wasnt even in the area when it happened
