“It’s with an important team – one that fights for victories – and it will be for at least one grand prix at Montmelo,”

This quote doesnt actually appear to have anything at all to do with williams, i'd be more inclined to think of the Alonso factor and Mclaren

Montmelo is where the circuit de la catalunya is and Mclaren have Pedro de la rosa also ;)

I heard Real Madri have some sponsorship from Audi, so they couldn't sponsor teams that are involved with other manufactures. So Williams is the only one left that can "fight" for a victory. At least they won in the past.

But are they allowed to run a one race livery? Isn't it against the rules???

Honda did in China.

Nick, the difference here is that the whole car will be all white just with the RM logo on it. Honda only did small changes, not a whole new livery.

Would have to be Mclaren surely- don't both of them have Siemens as big sponsors? Plus Alonso, plus Pedro?

Or maybe it's Red Bull Racing and they're planning to buy Real and turn it into Red Bull Madrid? They already own two football clubs

Maybe they will just have so many sponsor stickers that they decided to call it a livery :p

Cant see McLaren doing it. Its just not really part of their corporate image to do gimmicks like that.

Gimmick? Or shrewd marketing move designed to capitalise on their new world champion driver and a tie-in with an existing sponsor?

Perhaps it's just a ploy to give David Beckham something to do now he can't seem to get a game ;)

Here come the spanish ;-)

McLaren has signed a sponsorship deal with Spanish insurance group Mutua Madrilena, which in recent years has backed Fernando Alonso at Renault.

The Madrid-based mutual-profit insurance company will thus continue its association with the Spanish double world champion, who moves to McLaren next year.

Team boss Ron Dennis said: “We are pleased to welcome Mutua Madrilena to our prestigious partner portfolio.

“Mutua Madrilena will be the first Spanish based company to join our partner group and, like Fernando Alonso, they believe in the future of our team.”

Mutua Madrilena branding will be placed on the front wing endplates of the 2007 McLaren-Mercedes, on the sleeves of the drivers’ overalls and on their helmets.

It will make its first public appearance at the team’s 2007 launch in Valencia on 14-16 January.

Gotta Mclaren thats having the Real Madrid Livery surely, too much of coincidence.

I have sources close from McLaren and they said it's going to be williams ...but well who knows .Pedro De La Rosa will only be test driver for McLaren next year ,Hamilton will get and have already got the seat alongside Alonso.

Not if they have a proven aerodynamic advantage - mind you, then the FIA might outlaw them

Due to the voting system in Germany, Governments are always made up of coalitions of different parties. At the last election, an almost unprecidented result saw the CDU/CSU (rough equivilant of the Conservatives) go into Government with the SPD (rough equivilant of Labour)
