The only car that I saw have any problems was a Renault. It was being loaded onto a truck and taken back to the pits as I arrived.

It actually shows they are pushing their development... Better it goes bang during testing rather than during the race. Trial and error is the only way to find the limit and I'm sure Renault will have a reliable car for China just like however many races they've had one.

True, but generally by this time of the year, reliability would be rock solid, not going the other way.

It does point towards Renault having to push it's outer limits to stay on terms with Ferrari. Afterall, Renault suffered a engine faliure on Alonso's car during the race at Monza after turning up the revs.
