no it was from 2004 prior to that they always had the latest spec engine form the year before. Then from 2004 they started with the same unit only it wasnt updated on a race by race basis like the Works one did, but at monza they used to get an update to it of if needed before monza. That was in the contract with Sauber as Peter himself said and i think Redbull had the same deal most probably

okay.

But I still think they'll be racing in the midfield against BMWs, Spykers and Toros :)

Hmm high expectations for BMW.

A car which Sauber fundementally designed/built.

But then it wasnt the car that was impressive.

It was BMW's development pace.

They wont trouble, Mclaren, Ferrari, Honda, Renault.

i see next year as a make or bust year for poor old williams - if they fail to get regular points' results i can honestly see old franky boy selling up. such a shame if that happens :(

RBR can't be happy with mid field results next season and will have no room for excuses. DC was quite unhappy with the car the last 1/3 of the season, so hopefully with the Renault in the back of the Newey design he will once again have a machine that will allow him to race near the front of the pack....

there is no machine on the world that can allow DC to be near the front pack.
i don't hate him,but starting med 2002 he was very bad.
still,he is fantastic at Monaco,Canada,imola

Maybe not Ferrari and possibly not Mclaren, but they'll certainly be with Honda, judging by the way their cars have been in the last few seasons, I suspect they will continue to slide up and down the gride like a yo-yo

Renault is a wait and see imo, they may have the car, but I don't think either of the drivers has the straight consistency to keep winning
