They should bring back the old information feed look.

I really liked the old, pre-2004 information feed that was shown on TV, the 'yellow' style one. The new one is too bland, and for me, the old one is a lot nicer to look at. Maybe if they were to implement the new features into the old look it would be great.

I don't really care, but I did lke the old one. Just because it's the one we've had for years and years.

Is this going to be a thread on old vs new again?

the features we get now are awsome, ie fastest apex speed, the green sector bit against the yellow.. the throttle and brake comparisons etc.

The throttle-brake comparisons don't really work IMO. The driver in front brakes earlier and hits the throttle earlier, so you can't really compare. But the rest off the features are really cool though.
Thats because Siemens is the official time keeper from 2004.

Hold on, i see something here...

Siemens, Mclaren hmmm...

Maybe add a few tenths on the other teams, and kaboosh! Mclaren 2007 F1 Champs.

Although that still wouldnt work :P Mite explain Kimis last few poles though ;)

If you look closely at the throttle-brake comparison between DLR and MSC last race, you'll notice a big difference. Michael hits the throttle twice after braking while Pedro slowly pushes the throttle. ;)

BTW I like the current layout, its nice and provides a lot of info for me :)

the text is too small. Our transmission quality is dire, so reading text is near impossible alot of the time

Solution: Buy a bigger television ;)

Don't mind what colour they use but instead of showing the ammount of pit-stops, I would rather they show time gaps like they used to,

Jenson, Jenson, he's our man,
If he can't win it,
Someone else........er can?
Yes, IMHO that's the only thing that is missing from the current 'flashy' set-up - we need more time gaps, people! I'd like to judge for myself who's doing what, where in the field. Have they got enough time for a pit stop and still get out in front? Let us see for ourselves!

I liked the old Yellow System to but i think that todays gives us much more information some kind of strange combo of the two would be best

Hows that for fence Sitting !!

The Thunder from Downunder

Yes we do get more info (i.e. apex speeds) but after the first pit-stop they stop showing time gaps & only tell you how many stops have been made this info is worse than useless if you have been watching you know how many stops have been made & if we have had a break you can work out who has pitted.

Please let us have the time gaps back, it does make it more interesting & I woudn't bother following the live timing.

Just place your computer next to your TV and put it on online live timing from the official F1 site ;)

Lol
How more information correlates to the look of the tv overlays i have no idea, but things like rev speed and throttle speed and apex speeds have all been used in the past. Newer information would just be updated with the look of whatever we are provided with.

When were apex speeds used in the past?

"Trulli was slowing down like he wanted to have a picnic" LOL
Yeah i remember seeing throttle, gear, revs and speed traces but no apex speed in all the years i've watched F1.
Todays are better than the Pasts IMO
Screw the old system, it was dated and blocky, all the new system needs to do is stop telling us how many pitstops have been made. ild rather know the time difference than the fact that sato has made 10 stops for a new front wing
