Just casually checked the ITV-F1.com site and saw this, [www.itv-f1.com], as the headline article. So not a Renault. And Klien? Out of F1 or to another team? Torro Rosso?

Hmm, interesting. Didn't see Webber at RB though.

Until now it looks like this:
Renault: Fisichella, Kovalainen?/Raikkonen?
Ferrari: Massa?/Schumacher?/Raikkonen?
McLaren: Alonso, Raikkonen?/Hamilton?/De la Rosa?/Paffet?
Toyota: Ralf Schumacher, Trulli
Williams: Rosberg, Wurz
Honda: Button, Barrichello
RBR: Coulthard, Webber
BMW: Heidfeld?, Villeneuve?, Kubica?, Albers?
Midland: Albers?, Monteiro?, Winkelhock?, Mondini?, somebody else?
STR: Liuzzi?, Klien?, Doornbos?, Speed?

Interesting how things will develop :)

De la rosa wont get the 2nd Mclaren seat due to commercial reasons (they dont want two spaniards)

Berger wants to retain Liuzzi and Speed.

Speed Tv reported yesterday that Klien could most likely be heading to STR and that Speed's job was definitely on the line here

But Gerhard Berger said that they are fine with their Duo and Klien is no option whatsoever for his team.

Ahh, just great.

What are Uncle Ron and Briatore thinking, putting rookies alongside Alonso/Fisichella?

You would of thought Webber was definitely the next best on the grid to fill these vacancies.

Well i hope it goes pear shaped for those two, bloody idiots.

Well the whole point of pairing a rookie with someone who's experienced is so that said rookie can learn off experienced person, and so not be a rookie anymore.

Idiots? I should think they know a hell of a lot more about what they're doing than you do ;-)

What Zep said is very true. I think the lineup for 2007 is looking very good so far. I don't think McLaren should put Hamilton though...their choice should be either Paffet or De La Rosa. Hamilton needs a year of testing before he can race properly for the team.

I also think Keikki will give Fisico a run for his money.

RBR may not be very good right now, but i think it will be a front-runner in 2-3 years. Webber and DC in a team, that sounds like a challenge. Good for him.

lol i thought this one was going to be a stupid rumour. I bet theres quite a few drivers on the redbull drivers scheme who are pretty pissed off right now.

Yeah, I fail to see how that RedBull scheme works. Support them all the way to F1, then tell them to piss off.

Liuzzi is as good as signed for STR now, unless he hitches a ride with BMW Sauber or similar.

I'm not to happy about this. Webber is a major underachiever as far as I'm concerned, though he seems like a nice enough guy. Klien should have been farmed out or made third driver months ago and Doornbos given a look.

As for STR, rumor has it that Speed is going to be the odd man out. A pity. I rank him higher than Tonio and Berger wants them both back. Why waste time with a developement program if you aren't going to let your guys actually develop?

If Klien wern't an Austrian like Mateschitz he would have been gone at the end of last year....

Ahhh, upon searching the net and reading a bit it seems Klien is finished!

"Horner also confirmed that current second driver Christian Klien would leave the team after two years.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Christian Klien for all his hard efforts for the team over the last two seasons," he said.

"He will remain a Red Bull Racing driver until the end of the 2006 season, and we will continue to give him all the support that we can during that time.”

Good show! Let Tonio and Speed learn their craft. Webber.....I guess I'll have to learn to like him now...LOL
