"And if so, just as Damon Hill was able to rack up 20 wins for Williams, Jenson, who is far more talented than Damon, can do the same."

Agreeing with Dave and the lmao about Button being more talented than Hill.

89, the year you were born, correct? Did you even WATCH Hill in a Williams?

He is quoting James Allen.
The next few races will see what this win has done to him as a driver, a shame Rubens wasnt as quick or nowhere near :p

a few quote marks would help to define the JA quotes from his own thoughts/comments.

Don't agree with what JB fanboy James Allen wrote at all. He may believe that JB is better than Hill but writing "far more talented" is just taking the piss.

Chet, Rubinho was quick :P
Notice how despite the tyre issue he managed to climb back a little bit with some tough fights ;-)

button should get more wins then hill, cos hills first win came when he was like 10 years older then button. and i know people here hate button, but it probably is true button is better then hill, hill was just in the right car at the right time, but thats what you have to be to win in f1. buttons win was great, beat the other drivers fair and square in not the best car on track. button has never had the best car in f1, so its no suprise he hasnt had a win, but a wet race always brings the better drivers to the fore, even in inferior cars, and i dont know how anyone can bag button after yesterdays race.

Theres no evidence to even begin suggesting that. Damon may have been in the right place at the right time, but so was Jenson on Sunday. Gota remember that the drive was faultless, but the conditiosn were exceptional...

Damon won a world championship and was runner up twice, and a 3rd place. Jensons had 1 win.

How can anyone say hes definatly better than Hill?

Remember Hill's drive in Hungary '97? He showed everyone that he didn't need a Williams to be able to win. That drive to me was more impressive then Button's drive on Sunday, saying that Button has now proved to a lot of doubters that he can win a race but he needs to keep this momentum going.

I think it's one of those occassions where now he's won it, he'll be able to crack on, knowing he can do it.

Exceptional conditions or not, he knows that potentially he has what it takes to win a race, and comfortably too

Wet races even up the cars more & driver skill plays a bigger part in the result,
Loads of drivers fell off but Button was infront of them (exept kimi),

But lets not get carried away like 'Mr' Allen as jenson still has not got a car that is up to winning if conditions are dry, when the car is better he WILL start to win more races & you never know he MAY win the chamionship.

I'd love to see it happen but I won't hold my breath.

Jenson, Jenson, he's our man,
If he can't win it,
Someone else........er can?

Agreed, that was amazing, and I am so sorry for him that his car failed him. To basically win in an arrows is a truely amazing feat. Could schumacher do the same? I doubt it.

@ Daniel Knott, Before we go 'There' again, can I just remind you this thread has NOTHING to do with Schumacher.

My opinion is Buttons win was a flash in the pan. Many drivers win one or a handfull of races in thier carreer. I just don't see Button suddenly turning into a World Champion. With ALL the regular super stars having an off day, Jenson did well to hold it together and get the job done.

But that's all I.M.O.

Cheers.

Yeah. Nurburgring '99 anyone? Despite having on that year their best car ever, Stewart could win only 1 race.

I have not read/listed James Allen's comments but I will never agree to have a fan as commentor, he MUST be objective even if the drivers is from his country, he likes him, etc.

Maybe ITV viewers should request to change no objective commentors, the same goes for every channel which puts F1.

Thanks GP3Hotlaps
