as you can read , Yamato will be the third and official friday driver for super aguri in silverstone , indianapolis and montreal , after that he proberly will take the seat of Montagny. I searched about Yamato and he droved at japan 2005 in the third jordan and was 20th before albers , karthikeyan , doornbos and monteiro and in practise 2 he was 17th before the minardi's , the jordan's , montoya , liuzzi and Villeneuve , he isn't a bad driver if i look at thid , what do you think?

Every Japanese driver who drives at Suzuka is bound to do well, you can't judge someone as 'a good driver' based on two paractice sessions on a single circuit.

I've never heard of him. Whatever his credentials, I doubt he's got the talent to be in F1, at least just yet.

Just like a british driver is bound to do well on Silverstone, as is being discussed in another thread? ;)

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

Not heard of this guy, but I have heard of Sakon YAMAMOTO, who funnily enough is also now driving for Super Aguri :-)

Just thought I would throw that little bit of info in there...

Oh, that reminds me of a big shoch during the Indy 500. They are terrorising the IRL too (with obviously Japanese drivers). ;)

But why doesn't Aguri Suzuki sees there are not very much/no good Japanese drivers? Instead of building a good team and THEN hiring a Japanese driver, they screw up their team in the very beginning with crap like Ide. If they want to be taken serious, they should hire some decent drivers.

you were probably drunk.

as for yamamoto, typical japanese rubbishness, worse than sato but a tad better than ide.

"Instead of building a good team and THEN hiring a Japanese driver,"

Same mistake as what Prost made all those years ago, he tried to have an almost all French team from the get-go, and look how that went.

I think A1GP suits Aguri Suzuki better ;)

Prost's mistake was that he just isn't a good team manager... as he found out!

but anyway.

He is doing pretty well in GP2. Not excellent, but pretty good.

He was shockingly slow he looked awful.

I watched 2nd practice from the grandstands and he almost took out Alex Wurz at chapel. He spun onto the tarmac run off, then wondered aimlessly around the run off like he was lost then rejoined on the exit of the corner just as Wurz was passing. There was 2 feet maximum between the too cars! IMO from what I saw he could be as bad as Ide!

lol yea but there was still no excuse for the way he rejoined the track, it could have been a huge accident. When i saw him test for jordan last year he didnt look too bad, but friday my opinion changed very quickly and i think the FIA should be more strict in the way superlicences are handed out.

MobileCast (important Aguri's sponsor) wants 2 japanese drivers... How stupid they are ! I think they will not progress like this !
Franck Montagny is a good driver with the experience of the third Renault's driver. I think he's as fast as Sato (maybe quicker) but its car is heavier than Sato and Yamamoto's one (+12 kg at Nurburg and Monaco, +8 kg at Silverstone).
MobileCast don't want that Montagny could be faster than Sato or Yamamoto...
