Why Is kemi called the Iceman?

Why does Kemi have the Label Iceman. For a Person who doesnt talk to the cameras and when he does utters a few words which are barely understandable, doesnt really deserve that name. I mean really what is so cool about distancing yourself from the media?????

I think Alonso is more suited to this name..

to be honest I dont understand almost anything what Alonso speaks in english.Kimi is called Iceman because he so calm and not nervous like Alonso or Montoya when racing .

True if compared to those.. But many drivers doesnt shout at marshals like Kimi does.

There is many drivers who that nickname would fit better. But atleast Kimi is from so cold country that it is kind of right.

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

how come i didn't know that Kemi is called "the Iceman"? after all i do live in finland, and we have small a town called Kemi here. i've never heard someone calling it "Iceman". "Icetown or -city" would be better... quite strange... : \

well not quite

It's because the finnish people hate the icelandish people and so they call kimi the iceman cos they think he is an idiot and it is like a swear word.

I know why Montoya is called the "PIES-MAN". He likes pies. and cakes , and lard.

He likes to distance himself from the media too, but not from cakes, desserts and

sweets. As to why "Kemi" is, I have no idea. Great post Yahneef!

I can't understand why people constantly slag off his speech, you do realise English is a second language to him ?

I for one can say he speaks better English than I can Finnish, what ever they talk .

The Iceman name comes from the fact he is super cool even when he is under so much pressure. Just have to look back at 2005 and see how he kept his head in frustrating situations that cost him the title.
