If Toyota fired him I think its a ridiculous decision.

I would say he'll most likely go to McLaren, or perhaps Honda.

no disrespect to gascoyne or toyota.but with the biggest budget toyota should have atleast won a race by now.gascoyne will probably struggle with a small team because he has lost his credibility.

Toyota is just continuing the series of bad or unpredictable decisions as in every season they´ve been in F1...

the Toyota bosses have not understood yet what F1 is and that impatience wont lead them anywhere.....except to the point where they have to pull the plug

Erm, I don't think Mike G has ever worked at McLaren. Having said that, I don't think he will end up there, as Ron Dennis has said (read current issue of F1 Racing's interview) that the team have been making plans for the departure of Adrian Newey for some time before he actually left for RBR. Therefore, they are set already, and aren't in need of someone like Mike.

I don't know where he will end up, but I know he was highly paid (something like $8 million per year), and was commuting my plane from the UK to Cologne, and the travel has taken it's toll on his family life. Therefore, he will certainly be looking for work with a British based team.

But who...?

The Toyota bosses are just mad; count how many they already fires; Salo, Da Matta, Andersson was forced to step back, is that Tomita guy still around??

Guess they will never make it this way!

Yes, that Tomita guy is still around, but I think that it was the wrong decision to replace Anderson with him.

"You Know? i wish Mclaren could ever hire argentinian Sergio Rinland. I rate him so high"

What ever happened to him? Peter Sauber was a fool to get rid of Rinland.

Come to think of it, the STR thing is possible, it could all be part of some grand plan by Red Bull to have Newey and Gascoyne working together.

I think he'll end up at either Williams. Or he'll bide his time and wait to see what other team(s) are entering the F1 circus in 2008 and join them (ProDrive, Jordan etc.)

How can he end up at Williams? How can he even end up at Mclaren? They already have BOTH solid Technical Directors.

I haven't heard too much from him, but i think he's in America, as a tech director or something. Sauber was so stupid by getting rid of him. He did a great car in 2001. And he was the man behind the Arrows A23. I don't know why he isn't in F1 anymore.

I think Gascoyne will end at Honda.

Gascoyne wont join to McLaren because Ron Dennis hate him and hates Dennis :(
