Here's the latest guess at who the eleven new teams applying for F1 entry in '08 are.

David Richards - Prodrive
Paul Stoddart - Minardi
Eddie Jordan - Jordan
Direxiv
Racing Engineering - Spain
BCN - Spain
Eddie Irvine - Roustam Tariko backed.
Nicholas Todt - ART
Dubai Team
Trevor Carlin
Piquet Sports

I wouldn't like to decide which one gets in. Maybe some form of knock-out on Thursdays would be the best answer.

let them all in and allow 24 cars to race and have pre quali like in the 80's and 90's

I second that. But sadly it's not going to happen, so I guess we need to pick our favourite from the list. :)

Unless any current teams will be denied entry? Can't see that happening though. ProDrive would probably be the most competitive, but I'd love to see someone else like Aguri Suzuki set up a team.

I don't care who is in charge, as long Minardi is back. Preferably how they were.

Money is irrelevant due to the low cost Formula they are all going for.

I would love to see Stoddart back, he's a great guy in the pitlane. Pre qually could be done, but not on the scale that was done in the 80s and 90s due to alot of circuits not having anywhere near that amount of space for that many teams.

i tend to think that its not garages but available pit boxes that may be a problem?

about pitboxes, i'm sure i saw the 2 cars from 1 team on jacks in the pitlane during a practise or qualli session this season, meaning that they could in theory do 2 pitstops at the same time (if they had 2 pitcrews).

was i seeing things, or is this correct?

if 1 team use 2 garages, 1 for each car, there logically must be 2 pitboxes for them outside the garage?

but a garage is wider than the length of 1 car, so if a team uses 2 or 3 garages, they could line up 2 or 3 cars outside the garages. they only use 1 pitbox for every stop, but they could, if they needed, use both of them at once.

Years ago they used to work out the back of the car trailers in the old pre qually days, but F1 is a bit beyond that now.

i think the problem is that you need space for the mechanics, tyres, refueeling equipment, and spae for the cars to turn in and out

I don't see why they don't up the amount of cars thay can have on the grid by 2 or 3 teams.

(food for thought) NASCAR manage to fit 40 cars around Bristol!!!
