Bridgestone To Supply Super Aguri

Tyre manufacturer Bridgestone has signed a multi-year agreement with the new Super Aguri F1 team.

The Honda-backed outfit was finally confirmed as a participant in the 2006 world championship last week, having secured the unanimous support of the other 10 teams and lodged the necessary financial guarantee with the FIA.

Hiroshi Yasukawa, director of Bridgestone Motorsport, said:

they slipped up there, considering the sole tyre contract was supposedly up for tender :P

none :P

one thing i didnt know was that they wont take part until the 4th race of the season.

I'm pretty sure that the 4th race thing is when they are supposed to have their own new car... they are meant to be running that creaky old arrows for only the first 3 races, bet it'll be for longer tbh :P
