Worst F1 team ever????

Ok Guys

Lets hear it...

The worst F1 teams in history.

Ok I'll start off with Life as mentioned ina previous post. Apprently the engine only had 350hp and they sent out Gary Brabham with no oil in the enigine at Interglagos!!!!!

Also Andrea Moda?!!!!! They sent out poor Perry McCarthy with a faulty steering rack into ea reauge!!!!!!!!!

Finally Loal in 1997. About 16 seconds off the pace then the sponsor pulled out after 1 attempt t qualify!!!!!

theres many from the 60s that were very bad, but hard to find out about.
i think at montreal someone got a flat battery so ran back to the pits for a new one, ran back to the car and carried on :p

Also what about pacific? they were crap as well. 1994 hardly qulaified. the car had never even been in the wind tunnel!!!!!!!! and in 95 they were jsut plain slow but no 107% rule!!!!

Super Aguri? Thats a bit harsh!!! but your right it looks doomed. I mean how fast are those 4 year old Arrows gonna be??!!

Give Super Aguri a chance when they get their own car ready. Yeah the old Arrows are going to be well off the pace but a Honda lump in the back might help a bit. I remember how good they were against other Cosworth powered teams at the time. Lola were badly prepared but their successes in other events is evidence they are basically a good team that underestimated what F1 requires. The rest? Well that is why Bernie introduced the big cash deposit. Realistically, Minardi were terrible, but you couldn't fault their determination and spirit. Long live the small teams. F1 loves them and needs them.

Super aguri have all the traits of lola - rushed entry, crap car.

Will their sponsors stick by them? Hmm. I mean they are going to be SLOW. I reckon about 5 secs a lap.

wow what a design!

lola are one of the most fantastic car constructors in motorsport history, its a shame there name is tarnished by what happened in 1997, it wasnt even there fault anyway, the real story is quite different from the one seemingly taken by most people...

They were developing a car for 1998, but once HSBC got on the stewart bandwagon mastercard, title sponsor, and paying a lot of money decided that 1997 was better for them (this was obviously at a very late stage). Then they promptly pulled the plug without warning taking the team, and effectivly the company down with them.

However they have since recovered and have just relaunched a continuation model of the fantastic 70s sports prototype the T70

The real story is that the cars was designed in 1995. It was tested by Alan McNish but never raced. no wonder it ws slow.

That may we have been the case, but obviously you are totally disregarding the context in which and the reasoning for them racing such a car...

Bob has a point. The car was first built in 1995 after over a year of design. 2 years later it still wasnt ready for racing and flopped. Thats poor by anyones standards
