i think the mirrors are not there for that purpose, i think they serve a different purpose... there is a lot of turbulent air in that region of the sidepods and those mirrors might aid in relaminarizing the flow or part of it, try to get more downforce... i think thats why... my aerodynamic view to the solution!

I think its ok as long as the mirrors are not seen to be an areo device as I think that area is a banned place

well, if they are there for aero then ferrari has probably found a hole in the rules.

no loop hole at all. If they are areo the mirrors will have to be moved, but i dont think they are.

All depends if they are in the part where no areo devices can be attached and i do think they are but can not rememeber and can not find a pic.

I don't think so, the helmet of MS is brighter than the car (in last few years they were in the same color I think)

yeah i remember on one of the pre-GP build-up shows, Brundle was showing us all the imaginary boxes around the car where you can't put any bodywork, maybe mirrors also are prohibited in certain areas too.

who knows, it might be legal, or if its illegal, they might just be seeing what the effect of them in that position has on the car.

well it happens every year, every one copies the successfull bits of other cars.

hell, the 2003 Toyota was basically a re-painted F2002!

not to mention the Saubers.

exactly that's what i meant by that, ferrari is not the first one to come with using other ideas, renault use a lot of ferrari ideas, as well as toyota mclaren and bar, so the article means nothing, oh yeah and williams as well

cheers

Mirrors projection seems to fall on the fairing below the sidepod intake... the one that keeps in place the side diffusors (I hope is the right term)... so that layout should be totally legal.

Pics of the new Ferrari. Boring, same livery as last year except of the martini, shape hasn't changed a lot. Dissappointing, can't believe it to be faster than last year's, with such a conservative approach.
