Will people make it?

Yes.

Will people stop asking whether people will make it?

Probably not.

i really dont think that car looks anything special, the back end of the sidepods are ugly as hell.

No wonder F1 cars cant follow each other closely.

That car looks vacuum packed! The attention to detail on the sidepods and rear end are impressive, front end's the same as last year so far. Looks good to me.

It's not. This wasn't a launch, it was its first track test... the launch is the ceremony thing with all the bells and whistles ;-)

the rear wing looks interesting. i wonder whether any other team will copy it. the design of sidepods resembles those of mp4-20 but air intakes are smaller due to v8's lower needs of cooling.

i am waiting for mp4-21 in new livery.

i thought the rear wing was an oldish idea.
wasnt the same idea pioneered by BAR and a few others in 03 at low-medium dforce tracks? or somthing similar?

they´ll change the livery, because Mild Seven isn´t their sponsor anymore...
On the 31.01.06 they show the new livery...
They have done that last year,too...
first they´ve tested with the old livery and then they´ve shown us the new on at the official presentation !
There were only some minor changes, but they´ve changed it...
Maybe Telefonica or Movistar ( I heard that some months ago ) will have a bigger place on the car...
Maybe we´ll se a Renault in a Livery like the Movistar sponsored teams in the MotoGP...let´s see...

thought the problem they had is getting enough cool air in and the hot air out. They have 2 probs.

Just goes to show what happens when u take the idea from another car without understanding how it works.

i am not a tech guy but it's unlikely that these are used to get more air in

besides Renault is a different car alltogether with a different engine, aerodynamics and radiators

i dont know either its just what i read .

Bit of a worry when u have to cut that much out though looks like they just packaged the car too tight.

This shows what happens when you make a post about something without understanding how it works...

i dunno then i read they have probs getting cool air in as well as getting hot air out but no i dont really know how it works. Thought cold air blows in hot air comes out. But it looks like they based the shape of the side pod inlet on last years mclaren, it worked of for mclaren but not rbr thats what i was trying to say but not getting my view across well.

I find it hard to beleive v8's need as much cooling as v10's but am probably wrong.

I took this photo of the williams last year at testing at silverstone and it has that shape to it
