McLaren have gone Orange!! (56k WARNING - LARGE IMAGES!!)

its strange but with it painted orange u can see just how much rbr have copied the side pods for their new car

how much?

considering that the car was made with a different engine configuration in mind

Not sue to be honest. Papaya Orange looks great on the F1 LM Road Car



But looks a bit cack on the Race car. Needed a few black line to help break it up a little. At the moment its just an orange blob, which I guess is the idea when testing as it distorts what you've done.


Still, Pooky will be along soon to announce that the new livery will be Silver and Black. With the name of a cigarette company on the side pods and wings.

I may be in a minority here, but I find that shade of orange repulsive! Sure, it looks OK on the F1 road car, but on an F1 car, that's not quite right.

I love the orange McLaren's, although this one doesn't look as good as the MP4/13 did in orange.

i can say for my self that i am the biggest Mclaren (west colored) fan in the middle east
but i also love the Orange colore...

I don't think they're going back to the grey and black liverie after the launch. Mainly because they don't have a title sponsor...They say the liverie should be finished in the next couple of weeks...I read Vodafone might be thiking about sponsor McLaren and Ferrari this year at the same time, but the chances are really slim, don't think Ferrari would like that.

But should the new car be running mid january as i read, or after the launch in mid-february?

mclaren changed their plans and new car should be running at the end of the january.

I've read something which says it's not sure mclaren will come back to silver in 2006..it'll change with vodafone in 2007..
OMG it was wonderful before, orange is a S**T!!!!!!!

I think the rumours about Vodafone being on the McLaren this year could be true. Remember a few years ago, Marlboro were on both the McLaren and the Ferrari in the same seasons. Therefore, we could well see a Vodafone McLaren, in red and silver (or whatever).

but i would like them to do something like this for their actual livery, now they don't have to be tied to the corporate colours of West, although Mercedes might not be willing to allow them to change so radically.

i hope what they will use this season won't be far different than 2007 livery. they can design a scheme considering a place for codafone and next year, they just simply add vodafone.
