Mark Webber has stated his resolve to stay at Williams beyond the end of 2006, when his current contract expires.

After arriving with high expectations, the Australian had a troubled first season with the Grove-based outfit in 2005, failing to convert qualifying pace into race results and scoring a solitary podium.

Given that he is managed by Flavio Briatore, there has been widespread speculation that Webber will switch to Renault in 2007

Kinda confirms the Renault thing then. He's got to perform this year and that has to mean keeping young Rosberg in his place no matter where Williams are overall.

Wow. Webber really gets my respect for this. It's refreshing to see a driver with his attitude. God knows I have been pretty rough on him in the past, but he just went up a couple of spots in my book. Thank God he didn't turn out to be a prima dona loser like Button....

he says this but do they want him? ;)

and tbh imho to succed he shud start thinking more about himself and not trying to do a shumi (the whole build a team around him).

hes not good enough for that yet. i mean every1 says he works hard in the team, and last year he sed Nick was lazy. yea kinda shows doesnt it :\

I wasnt saying they do, I was just trying to work out what results you meant when you said "look at the results" - to clarify, not critisize. :)

webber just needs to improve his race skills then he will be ok, as brundle and others have said u need to know when to know a move aint on and back out of it and try again. webber seems to go for it and ends up hitting the other car and putting him and the other driver out.

2 examples last year ms and fissi.

passing in f1 is new to him as he normally just starts high and falls down the field were are nick started lower and climed up the field
