"Ferrari has agreed a sponsorship deal with De Beers, the world's largest diamond mining company which is set to come into force in 2007, when current sponsor Vodafone leaves for McLaren.
De Beers has been keen to increase its spend on marketing diamonds and according to a report the deal is all but done and an announcement will be made shortly. "

I'd be very suprised - ferrari are owed a year's sponsorship money from vodafone, and they arent going to let that go. And even if vodafone have already paid, they arent going to waste that investment.

they were trying to swap for 2006 it all depended on compensation to ferrari. Mclaren will revel their livery near the season start and i expect it now to include vodafone.

Autosport this week speculates that Vodafone will join McLaren early if they can split amicably from Ferrari.

Either way, McLaren are having a "Vodafone livery launch", so we should get to see colours!

Due to the voting system in Germany, Governments are always made up of coalitions of different parties. At the last election, an almost unprecidented result saw the CDU/CSU (rough equivilant of the Conservatives) go into Government with the SPD (rough equivilant of Labour)

The existence of Ferrari's major new Formula One team sponsorship with diamond company 'De Beers' has been cast into doubt.

American business and financial magazine Forbes quoted a London based spokeswoman as denying that the South African and English based corporation would replace Vodafone in 2007.
