I had never expected Ron Dennis to say things like that! What an assh*le! He just doesn't want to blaim Mercedes. If I were Kimi I would go straight to Ferrari.

what an ass.

what little respect i had for him before these latest comments has now been reduced to none.

they may have done some things wrong, but when Kimi lost 4 engines, and a drive shaft in Imola, you can hardly say they were his fault.

his recovery drives from 11th, 12th and 13th on the grid showed how much he was trying. had McMerc provided a car that didn't break down, he would have almost certainly been world champion, and McLaren would have been constructors champions.

did you think of that Ron?

yeah he's specifically talking about Melbourne, but anyone can makes mistakes, so to criticise them for 1 race out of 19 is a bit wrong.

he can't judge them on that 1 race alone.

TripleM is right he is just talking about Melbourne here, not the season as a whole. Planet F1 likes to twist stories at times but it also has some hilarious articles.

It starts now seem more and more likely that Kimi is actually already signed with another team... I don't think Dennish would criticize him otherwise...

this is either a blatant attempt at inviting kimi to run away to ferrari, or some rubbish invented by the press to try to find out whether he is really on his way out of mclaren, or is going to stay.....

i was going to blame Ron for this...but sadlly he is partly right

Australia :tow mistakes by both drivers
imola:as i heard shifted manaully which damaged the gear box
spain:Monotya spun
Monaco:monty stupide move at free practic
Canada: Mistake again (balg flag)
Lux:Kimi flatting his tyre
Germany:Monty mistake at Qualafing which costed them the win
Turky:mistake by Monty and Montiero
Spa: Mistake again by monty
Brazil:mistake by Kimi at qualafing
Suzuka:mistake again by Vill and Monty

i think Ron's move to get Alonso was out of anger and fraustration.seeing the titles sleeping away in that stupide way, while they could have got them long befor the season ended.

i think it's like when patrick head said in 2001 that both drivers needed to be more mature, and then he correct it and said it was only montoya...+

after all most of them were made by him

i would love to see ron do better.

now lets see when mclaren let its drivers down.

until imola they could not quali the car
sepang tyre problem for kimi when in 3rd
france kimi engine
gb kimi engine
germany kimi hydrolics leading by miles
hungry jpm engine
italy kimi engine

mclaren merc messed up more than kimi.

jpm made mistakes but surely they new that before they signed him, he has always made mistakes.

What an example of how damaging the press can be to a person's reputation. I, for one, am not so gullible I don't believe everything I read in the media, and I don't believe that this comment is at all in context.

Maybe Ron should take some Lessons from Norbert Haug at

WE WIN AS A WEAM...WE LOOSE AS A TEAM

But as mentioned before, u always got to read such stuff with a great deal of suspiciousness.
And even if he said it that way, it might be just some sort of try to get Kimi and Juan to fight the hell out of each other just to proof him wrong. Which COULD be an advantage for the team. (as McLaren experienced in the past with Prost and Senna....they battled each other and made the competition more dangerous than ever before but it was the most succesful time McLaren has ever seen)

as i said anyway this is old news as ron said all this during the year, he openly said jpm made mistakes and kimi messed up aus.

this artical is just by peopel who have nothing better to do. There is no new news so they dig up old stuff.

planet f1 have a rep anyway of talking crap and this is another example.

ron has always been open about his drivers to the press remember the dc one in spain 2001 then said sorry.

According to F1racing.nl he said it to The Guardian. If it's in The Guardian too, it's likely to be true. Unless The Guardian has a reputation of digging up old news too.
