Renault team principal Flavio Briatore has released a statement denying he had any involvement in Fernando Alonso's deal with McLaren, which begins in 2007.

Briatore also acts as Alonsos' manager, but claims the Spaniard came to an agreement with Ron Dennis' team on his own.

Why not? Alonso is hardly held on a leash

Put it this way, if Renault are pulling out for 2007, then Alonso will want to go to a team that performed well in the year he won the title - Mclaren. He could probably have asked Ferrari, but I somehow think they wouldn't have been interested because they have the lovely Michael. Therefore, it must have seemed a natural choice in his mind to go to Mclaren who built a massively superior car over anyone else... when the engine worked

Look what i found:

Kimi has said he hasn't signed with anybody yet, he's going to wait to see which team would give him the best.

On the other side Monotya didn't make use of a clause to renew his contract with McLaren for 2007, who's term ended some weeks ago, and he's open to listen to other offers.

Right now, whoever signs with Mclaren it's irrelevant..., i mean, kimi it's their favourite, of course, but even if he signs, who guarantees him the first seat?

and montoya should evaluate his options before doing anything desperate, but, wich are his options anyway?., i mena i know there's no way he' end up wthout a seat, of course not.., but where?

i'd love to see kimi and michael in the same ferrari for 2007
