McLaren will lose 2 or 3 important persons !!!!

well, it's better (though impossible) mclaren'd lose mercedes support. look at the test results. mclarens are only faster than midlands and bmw saubers with their v8 powerplant despite their super aerodynamics.

hey you can't really say anything from testing times , mclaren's could have had more fuel onboard than others

Well, i personally prefer win the title, than go fast in winter tests. if i remember correctly, the mclaren was very fast before 2005 season and was the favourites, and now i prefer do tests and kilometers, and dont try to get very fast times.

Mclaren know exactly where they are in terms of pace

Heikki Kovalainen said that he is quite impressed about mercedes V8 engine .He told to finnish news paper that he easily passed Toyota with his V10 but couldnt catch McLaren .

i hope you are right. i want to see them get a title.

the also had an engine blow up. in 2004, 2000 engine power was not the problem its just broke alot

test results of 9th dec at jerez. look at the results. speed is there with the v10, but they are still back with their v8. i wonder what norbert haug will say at melbourne. i wish i would eat my words

Can't believe there's that many stupid people who want to buy an expensive Mercedes. When for the same money you could have a REAL supercar like a Carrera GT. And as the Carrera was stopped at 1250 cars (in less time than it seems to have taken you guys to build 1000) it will be more desireable in the future too. Aren't there plans for 3500+ SLR's?

Enzos are stil changing hands at £600K and Zondas are around the $300K and both of those are absoulte pukka supercars, not just a Carbon bodied SL55 AMG with an ECU upgrade.

It's kind of telling when a genius like Gordon Murray leaves McLaren because Mercedes won't listen to what he has to say!

out of the 3 (SLR, Carrera GT or Zonda), if i could afford it, i'd have the SLR.

but if i was that rich, i'd probably have all 3!

id have SLR.. its quick and comfy altho.. the other 2 are purpose built and tbfh this isnt..

lol well an f1 car is purpose built to go as quick as possible.

but with the slr..

its like.. well like a super car.. but engines in the front..

its got leather.. and yet is made from carbon fibre :\

i mean it doesnt exactly know what it is. the gt is just a raw super car. im sure after about 1 hour or so driving quick in the gt u will be dead.

but the slr is alot easier to drive.. this is judgment from tv views on the car and just comman sence. lol

I actually don't like the SLR at all. I'm not a fan of Mercedes at all, and although the SLR will make me turn my head, I won't think "wow" as much as I would if even a Ferrari 355 drove past. Or any Ferrari. Or a Lamborghini.

Chet, thats the whole point of the SLR, you won't be dead after driving it for an hour.

Like Jezza said on Top Gear when they did that race from London to Oslo, he drove in it for nearly a whole 24 hours, yet didn't have any back ache or any discomfort in it. its a supercar you can practically use everyday. its everything you need for the road or motorway, yet can still be awesome on the track if you ever take it to one.
