Dave is right, she won't ever be in F1. Ralf Schumacher will keep his record as the only woman ever to win an F1 race.

You can't really argue with the points Dave Makes.

I think part of the problem is for wemen is that there simply many more men in the mix than there are wemen. More Girls need to go-kart.

But F1 should be about the best drivers, not what sex they happen to be or not be.

Look at it on the bright side, if there's to be no women in F1 at the very least no pussy will ever suffer abuse in a cockpit, now that's got to be a good thing ;-)

rofl @ Vader

Her lap times weren't bad though in comparison with the other Minardi drivers ... not that it means much of course, but I do agree with Daves sentiments. It is just like giving an African American something just because they are black, it is stupid. I thought that western democracies believed in equality? How is it equal when one minority gets something that another doesn't? Anyway, ignore that. I don't want to turn this into a political post. :P

"Western Equality" can be synonomously defined as "Over-exuberant political correctness"

That kind of comment isn't helpful even if this was a serious thread.

I must admit it would be weird to have a female F1 driver. Usually, you only see the scantily clad version sitting in or near the cars. It would be strange for one to actually be driving. I certainly don't think it would be a bad thing though. Would a female in F1 raise the profile of F1 with women? Would it make any financial difference?

It probably would, it's called "tapping a market" sure, there are already women who watch F1, but certainly just the publicity of a woman driver in F1 would open acess to a new market.

There might be some wacky advertising, maybe Kotex or another of those fem product makers could team up with Red Bull, a whole new meaning to "gives you wings" :-)
