One of the funniest interviews i thought was the Nigel Mansell one where murray says "Nigel could you slowly take your hat off, you've got an enormous bump on your head, would you let me see it [[[Murray moves his finger and hits it]]]Right up there oh! i'm sorry."

"There is absolutely nothing wrong with that car....except, of course, that it is on fire."

"There's a dry line starting to appear in the tunnel....*pause*....obviously"

"...And Martin Brundle gets out of the car and..oh dear, he won't be pleased, he's got a bald spot"

this is my favourite ever bit of his commentary. how he had so much excitment, shock, amazment in his voice.

from 1999 Italian GP

"oh, and off goes hakkinen!!!!, hakkinen, the race leader, hes out of the race!!!!, hes out of the race!!!!,

"Mika hakkinen retires on lap 30!, and hienz harold frentzen leads!, and this could blow the world cahmpionship w-i-d-e open!!!!,

"and mika hakkinen after the misery of belgium is CONSUMED with RAGE!!, and the tifosi are CONSUMED with DELIGHT!!!!,

"the italian grandprix has gone MEGA!!!!"

'With half the race gone, there is half the race still to go'

'...and he's lost both right front tyres'

'And an enormous gap building before Mika Hakkinen goes through in third position...when I say enormous it's 1.5 seconds'

'and this is the third placed car about to lap the second placed car'

'Mansell is slowing it down, taking it easy. Oh no he isn't! It's a lap record.'
