There was a very exciting breed of new talents in GP2 this season, most noteably Kovalainen, Rosberg, Speed, Piquet, Carroll, Premat, Pla, Lopez, Lauda, Jani.... all of them have the potential to make it into F1, and even excell there. And there are other drivers coming as well, with very exciting careers ahead of them, like Hamilton, Paffet, Parente, Kimball, Dirani, Kubica, even Wheldon who's 27 but can still crack it in F1... So, there is an abundance of talent, but the teams will have to let go of the old generation gradually, and trust these new guys with opportunities and test drives. MS of course still has what it takes to win the championship, but his time will run out in a couple of years. Fisichella might have blown his chances already, and he appears to be heading out of F1 in the next 2-3 years too. JV is already out - no way BMW will want to have him onboard (the 3m$ that will the decision to drop him will cost them, is peanuts for them). DC is in the twilight of his career as well. RS only has 2-3 years more at best, provided he ups his game significantly. Montoya is now 30 years old, so no more than 4-5 years left for him as well. Rubens is 33...
