I go (is it corret?) to the Brazillian GP since 1997. I think it was much more enjoyable in the first years. Much more track action during Friday and Saturday and it even had Warmup on Sunday morning.
I think in 1997 we had 12 teams (Williams, Ferrari, McLaren, Jordan, Sauber, Prost, Arrows, Tyrrell, Minardi, Benetton, Stewart, I'm missing one...).
Anyway, not too much from actual days, but you didn't had this stupid restrictions with tire limit (well, it had tire limit, but a decent one, I think 7 sets of compound, so you had 7 of Soft and 7 of Hard. You should save 4 sets to the race, and use the same compound to the race and qualify).
Since 2003 we are lacking track action, Sunday is getting really boring (not the race itself :P), but you wait all your life to the race, you have the support races but it's not F1 action.
The 3rd car of some teams were some compensation for all of this, but without it the Friday practice will be really boring. Imagine European tracks where the teams have the setup almost ok before they arrive in the track!!! Nobody will get out the pit to save the engine.
By the way, wasn't 2006 where the engine should last for 6 races?
